Today is the beginning of the boating season up in Clayton, and even though they are physically closed until June because of this crap, they are open to us in some new and fun ways. And fun is what they are literally a museum of. This one part of the fun is going to be and is today a series of tours through the buildings and things to see there thanks to the Wooden Boat Experience series.
IT’S MORE THAN A VIRTUAL TOUR, IT’S A VIRTUAL CURE.
Something I did not expect hit me while taking the tour today. I could feel my desire to get out there come back. I could feel it. Like magic powers slowly coming back. I Eats My My Spinach…
Trust me here, watch, tour and take it all in. Not just the boats, but the details of the building, the way they are displayed, all of it. It will make you want to get out there. I will add, I have been there a bunch of times, and in person is amazing and can’t be replicated, but “In Uncertain Times” Like this, this is enough of a reminder of what is all good in our community, and a much needed dose of a varnish cocktail for me.
Don’t think think this is all. There is more to come so stay tuned. WoodyBoater and The Antique Boat Museum are working on a very very cool concept that is being developed as we speak, or read, in this case. I am beyond thrilled, and back to my old self over all this. And isn’t that really what a trip to a museum of your passion is all about? Well Done ABM, Well Done Wooden Boat Experience.
HERE YA GO! Enjoy!
