Syd’s Text Message Museum Of NOS Parts.

Syds Bag of bungs! Ya, there is no way to say that without giggling.

One of the true joys of doing this is the friendships that we have all shared over the years. Throughout the day…and night, I am always surprised and excited to get some sort of message from you. One of the regular things is Syd Marsden, who clearly has a barn full of goodies. And he shares. A lot. I will get a random text with a wonderful part. Thats it. No deep explanation, just a part. And that is perfect. Like a museum, you get to look and appreciate.

Packard Part Perfection

Someone is looking for one of these now for sure. The perfect Points winner at any show is a NOS Distributor cap! Oh.. WAIT, No shows this year. OUCH

Part of my fun is to curate them into some sort of story. So today I am doing NOS Parts. Oh trust me there is more. LOTS more. So sit back, and enjoy Syds Text Museum Of NOS Parts

Got a big engine with a whole lotta cylinders? And who doesn’t?

DANG! Oh no, which wire goes where? One is off? but which one?

WOW

Rotor for your motor!

Genuine art

The graphics and printing are pure gold

Okay this is one bad ass rotor! BTW I could be the first person in the history of mankind that has ever said those words.

6 bucks! Dang I have been looking for a IGE-10.04… So close

And to add to the fun of Syds Text Message Museum Of Parts, is the shot of a box with a ? I have to guess. Kinda of a interactive museum of the obscure.

And I will show you all what it is at the end of the day! What? You think I am gonna not try and get more clicks?

OH Matt, if you really want to get clicks you know how to do it!

I think you are showing the wrong kind of “parts” today for that.

I have had some bad rotors, not bad ass though, that left me stranded. Nothing like lookung through old parts boxes.

Those caps and rotors are for dual ignition. That is two plugs per cylinder. At least the rotor is

Yep, a silly way to reduce redundancy. If you have 2 plugs, use two separate mags like an aircraft engine. Then you can make it home without paper lips and bubblegum if…I mean when one fails.
