Fueling up

We proudly did the American thing yesterday, we burned up around 50 gallons of fuel. The Boatress and I just ran the heck of WECATCHEM all day. We have put the V8 on hold and got a new old manifold for the W and she has never run better. The V8 will be installed this winter. Because there is no way in hell I am pulling the boat now.

RED WHITE AND KINDA BLUE WATER

The weather here in Virginia was perfect. Perfect perfect. The kind of day that if thats the one day you get to go out for the entire year, it was worth it. And hopefully today brings the same sort of reward for all the work.

The Boatress decided she was gonna go for a swim! is it something I said? Probably

Lets go

The girls all decided to swim

Sunset on the Chesapeake bay. Who says you cant social distance and not have fun!

Of course we were not alone out there. Someone needs to tell the Dolphins about Corona

The Tangier Cruise Ship headed out for a sunset memorial service.

As the day came to an end, we can look towards a new day in our American experience

Out taking photos

Love this photo. Says it all.

Headed back for a nice evening at home with my better half. I am one lucky old geezer.

I will take this sort of fireworks any day!

    Sounds like the perfect day!

Some of our favorite watering holes have opened up so we got to one last night.

    Happy 4th!!!

Have a safe and happy 4th everyone, no matter what chairs you bring. As long as they are not plaid.

Thunderstorms all day yesterday so we just hunkered down in a chloride bottle. Lobster rolls for dinner helped. Clearing up nicely today for a woody ride. Happy 4th all.

It looks like plaid was the winner! Happy Independence Day!

That’s a lotta gas! Perfect weather in the finger lakes. Ring of fire and pennsyltucky fireworks makes for a great 4th weekend.

Happy 4th of July from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Stay safe and enjoy. 🇺🇸

We did our July 4th boating on the the third because we’re trailer boaters and the ramps and inland lakes in our area would be a little more crazy than I’m comfortable with in my 62 year old 16 footer. My son and I got the boat out on the big lake (Michigan) for the first time this year and it was a beautiful morning. This is what our boats were made for.
