I fell in love with her on the internet

The other day I got all caught up in an ebay snipe  fight. It was kinda fun for 15 seconds. And I got caught up in the competition. And ended up with this cushion for 262 bucks, plus shipping and we are close to 300 bucks. WTH?

I knew this would cost me. 2 hours to go and things started getting a little out of control. OH I WAITED, didnt need to drive it up more.

Now it is an insane cool cushion, and will make a beautiful shirt. And starts to make a very nice Babe Collection of Cushions.

I found her on the internet a couple weeks ago

My cushion babes. They laugh at all my tasteless offensive jokes, and like the smell of old boats. Don’t get jealous of each other, but do just sit there and cost money.

We have lake Dora stock in the Stuff store

She looks great on a shirt

Have the shirt, not the cushion, but will one day

Keeping an eye out for her.

And one day she will be a shirt as well.

You’re lucky and have expensive taste! lol. I bowed out at the “Hunnerd-dollar” mark. I knew that one would go high…and it did.

Wait one minute! I think there is another story here.

What boat are you displaying your cushions on here?

It kind of looks like a Custom, Riviera, or Capri. I don’t recall you having one of those these days. Did you buy another boat or did I just miss something while I was away?

Its a Riv, YANNON, Jimmys boat. Nature deplores a vacum. HA

      Another story op.

Since we know you guys get custom reg numbers, want to give us the low down on 422 BS? Sounds like a BS story to me.

What would our pal Freud say about all this? Of course he never had a boat, I suppose.

    Don,

    As Freud once said:

“Sometimes a cushion is just a cushion”

now, being so highly priced and desired, must it not be a
    WHOOPIE CUSHION?

I wonder how much $$ this cushion would sell for?

This would make a GREAT T-shirt!

I put two of these on the street last week. Sure wish I had known some fool would have paid $300 for them. Wife said they stunk and were old and throw them away.

Very sad I didn’t sell them to someone with more money than me.

Some are not even worth the trash, so dont feel bad. I have seen them go for as high as 700.00 depending on the condition.

    Hi Matt,
I sent you an email a few months ago, showing you my Pinterest page with all the different boat stuff I collect, including boat cushions. You saw one of my cushions and you made your last t-shirt with the Boat Babe on it.
Well with your excitement with the boat babe cushions you decided you needed some.
I have been collecting and selling boat cushions for years. Gone thru all the good ones thru the years when you could pick them up for the cheap.
Well with your column you had a couple articles the last couple years on cushions. Thank you. But because of your enthusiasm and readership you have helped inflate the prices on these little gems.
I bought the last two, “yellow boat babes cushionS for $50.00 each. I bought my “two babes babes on a piling” for $87.00 and $80.00….last fall.
Since you put out your cushion t-shirts for sale you have caused the prices to go nuts. You, yourself have paid top dollar for your last three cushions you bought, yellow babe cushion, babe on a piling, and the last diving babe.
Years ago a mint, yellow babe went as high as $300.+. I have never seen bidding as crazy as it has been this year. There was a “red babe on a piling” that went for $250.00 a couple weeks ago.
Since your passion became public and you look on eBay today you will see … just the asking prices on cushions are way over priced. There are a couple basic $35-40.00 cushions with asking prices of $149 & $99.00 So thanks. I’m out.
It will never be the same.
I think it’s funny and I am not complaining as I am too old and I have too much stuff that I have actually stopped collecting…(some days I forget).
Be careful what one wishes for…Anyway now is a good time to sell! Great cushion!

HA, sorry to make you rich? Shame on me. BTW, the red one is now for sale at some shop in New England.. $400. WHICH IS INSANE! 300 is insane, 100 is insane.. But it is art and clearly others like it as art.
