Steve Lapkin Takes Over As Brass Bell Editor.

Steve Lapkin in New Zealand covering the the classic boating there for Woody Boater

If you think 2020 is all bad stuff, here is proof that the balance of the universe is still in motion. Long time fellow Woody boater and Image maker Steve Lapkin has stepped up to the plate to become the editor of the best designed magazine in the classic boat universe. The Chris-Craft Antique Boat Clubs BRASS BELL.

Steve’s images are famous in the boating community

Steve has reached out to all involved at the start of the redesign, Bill Basler  and the wonderful team at Catalyst to make sure this will be taken to the next level. We here at WoodyBoater are thrilled beyond words. Okay, I just wrote some words, so not sure how I can be beyond words while writing them. LOOP ALERT.. Hold on, dang it, I get all tangled up in my thoughts and .. God are you still reading? Why? It will just make your head hurt. Where was I?

WOW

Oh yea Steve Lapkin. Steve has all our respect and commitment to also help out. And we invite you to do the same. Some stories we get here are more magazine worthy that daily fodder and so we will be working more closely with Steve to make that happen. Bad spelling and all.

The Classic Boat community is always ready to help!

Also the Boat Buzz deserves some new energy, so I have been trying to be more involved in that. The Boat Buzz is a wonderful place to ask questions and keep information reliable. Facebook is not. And The boat buzz doesn’t use algorithms to re-market you with crap. PLEASE! PLEASE! For your own sanity, focus your questions to the Buzz. Join the club. Between the Brass Bell and Boat Buzz alone worth the price of admission. YOU CAN JOIN HERE.

And since we are talking about Lake Tahoe.. We were right? VOTE THE BOAT! Sweet Pea wants your love!  VOTE HERE.

I too have been trying to help on the Buzz too but to be honest some of the new people have been down right rude questioning the advice and quoting their restorer.

Without real moderators it will still be a struggle.

I think it’s wonderful that you are embarking on yet another boating adventure that will create even more friends in the hobby. Better find myself a Chris Craft.
