I Had A Dream.. Last Night.

,

Calm

Sorry for the late story, I over slept. Too much Chinese food last night. BUT, that Hunan Chicken gave me the gift of joy all night. I was at a boat show. YUP, it’s been so long I literally had a dream that I was at a huge boat show. THE BOAT SHOW. Everyone was there, and all the boat shows we have missed were all there all rolled up into one whopper show. It was so great to see you all.

Lets ride together

It was an amazing moment, I didn’t want to wake up. I think. I was asleep so I guess I was just enjoying all of us being together, shaking hands, hugging and laughing. Funny, I don’t recall any of the boats, it was more about you, us, and new us’s. Togetherness in human form.

Pals around the world

I woke up after I had the thought, What the hell am I doing at a show during this pandemic. That ruined it. And so I woke up back to our current reality. BUT

One of the true gifts of this years pandemic situation is PROOF that boat shows and events are critical to our culture and humanity. Virtual is fun, but nothing.. NOTHING in the Universe can replace seeing you and shaking your hand and spontaneous laughter. Togetherness is important to all of us no matter our values, or beliefs, being together just mush’s all that away into our collective passion for history, mahogany, decency, and compassion.

I will be there with cameras and a warm smile.

So this spring, lets ALL show up to Lake Dora. ALL of us, and welcome the future, the love and kindness that we all share.

Nice dream! No question people are more humane face-to-face than over distance, especially online. Let’s keep the dream alive!

Dream on Brother! Dora for sure!
We got Eric’s Wagemaker, Will’s great Hacker Craft, and Art’s Whirlwind…along with my Scout 3o and did a surprise cruise by at my cousin’s daughter’s cottage/beach front on Fleets Bay here in old Va. We all floated around and visited at distance prior to show time…I will post pics when a kid passes thru and shows me how.
Enjoyed the mini boat show and just Going Boating!

I had a dream last night too, about a burglar who broke in to our house and said he was looking for money. I said hold on I’ll get my flashlight and help you look.

I am definitely looking forward to going to Tavares in March. I don’t know if this virus will be completely behind us, but by that point I am not going to be willing to stop living to avoid a tiny chance of dying.

Proof that boat shows are not really about the boats. They are an excuse to get together with the people who cherish them.
