Docks going in on Lake Dora!

Yesterday we got a report in from the Harrisons on Lake Dora. The docks are going in. After three years. The new masterplan dock situation on Lake Dora in Tavares is being done. Which invites the question. Will there be a show? Will there be anyone alive left to have a show?

Boats are 6 ft apart.

It’s kinda odd to talk it about now that numbers of cases are spiking through the roof. And March is a long way out. But like any war, we thought it would be over in a month.. Almost a year ago. So? Add in the “Florida Factor” where the state is running like this never happened which confuses the rest of the planet.  From what I have read, there should be a roll out of some sort of vaccine by April.

The New Dora Queen . Looks like an old post card for sure

So all this information is just a mushy stew of news blabber. And in some of twisted torture, the docks will be in, and we can’t … shouldn’t gather. A Super Spreader Event.

The sunset last night. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

One thing is for sure, I am sure gonna have some fun with the drama and click bait. UGH.. 125ish Days. give or take a year?

A dramatic photo of Karen out boating on the Sea Skiff. Will she catch Covid or be attacked by Murder Hornets? Then again, there is talk of an Astroid? Hurricane in January?  STAY TUNED for breaking news.. News alerts.

It’s both ways. Canadian members of our chapter can’t cross the border into Michigan.

Apparently Canada already had their version of Thanksgiving and Covid has spiked now.

Let’s hope we learn from that.

The land border between the USA and Canada is closed both ways to everyone other than essential services (and no, attending a boat show is not considered to be an essential service). However, people can fly from Canada to the USA.

Although it’s unknown how long the border closures will remain in place, some so-called experts are estimating that the border could be closed until spring or summer 2021.

We live on the”Northwest Angle so we can go back and forth through Canada. No stopping! Have to be permanent residents-summer folks have to get here by water.Crossing the Big Traverse in wind can be a bummer.Have to call Canada Customs for approval. They decide essential travel.Doctor visits and grocery shopping essential.Brother-in-laws Funeral at funeral home is not.

    Dear Friends,
The flu, like any other flu will not go away….The economy needs your contribution, so you have to buy a “box of pills”. I’m allowed to work anywhere and go anywhere. My job did never stop….and I had to mingle everywhere. I did not get one day off to become sick, my boss said you want your paycheck, GO! So, I did, again and again. We’re 6 months later, I didn’t get the flu or else. It’s between the ears, release the phantom and go boating…
