An amazing man, Amazing family!

Very sad news to report, fellow Woody Boater Thomas Drozd sent us this crushing report, and I can not have said it any better. And for sure not spelled it better. Ugh, A true loss to a great family!

Today we lost a lifetime Century Boat Club Historian, and ACBS member, Paul Miklos.

If folks know the Miklos’s then they knew Paul. He was practically raised on Century Boats as were his brothers Frank, Erik & Bobby.

Paul was a Director in the Century Boat Club and their Historian. If you had a Century boat question he had an answer.

Recently retired as a wood-shop teacher for a high school he was a young 60 years old.

His passing was unexpected and the antique boat family will be greatly hurt by this.

May he Rest In Peace. God Bless.

A tragic loss for the Miklos family and the boating community. Prayers of comfort to all his relatives and friends. And its going to be even more difficult to honor Paul with an appropriate memorial service with the limitations during this pandemic we encountered with my own mother’s passing. Makes me feel like I’m living on borrowed time.

R.I.P. Paul. Condolences to the family. Oy talked with him on the phone and he seemed like a great guy. Wasn’t shy about sharing his knowledge with rookies. 🙏🙏🙏

Oh no! What shocking news. Paul was Mr Century. He helped me so many times with information about my boats. He had an encyclopaedic mind on all things Century and shared his knowledge willingly. When I was restoring my Blue Grey Arabian with Katz, Paul was the go too guy who authenticated progress each step of the way. On both the Century boat club and Woody Boater pages any question asked about Century was answered fully and accurately by Paul. I used to watch the many comments from others come in and wait for Pauls. When it did that was it. End of story. No one argued. The oracle had spoken. The Century community lost an icon of a man today. My heart goes out to Paul’s family. What a dreadful loss.

Paul was a great man. A wealth of knowledge. I re-did the interior on my 48 20′ sea maid and he shared information tirelessly. He made the like-original wood dash panel and the tear drop stern pole. He was a master craftsman and his kindness and knowledge is unreplaceable.
