Bruiser likes the laptop power cord

Hurricanes, Tornados, Power outages, ER visits, nothing stops the Woody Boater from trashing the english language and finding obscure boat crap to yack about. But today may be the end of the streak of stories. First, my laptop batterery is old and slowly dying. So it holds a charge for about 15 minutes. So I always have it plugged in.

Maybe Bruiser is acting out in a passive agressive move against my time on the computer? thats what his theripist says. He has Puppy issues.

Bruiser seems to love the power cord. I mean LOVES IT. And this morning while setting up a story, I “thought” he was just at my feet chewing on his one of 1000 toys or bones. And ..no… He got the cord. I am shocked he wasnt …well shocked, which would have taught him that lesson better than the never ending No, no, no ,no… I am trying so hard to be positive.. But..

Does Mr B need a new toy?

Anyway, as I am typing this the batterery is dying.. AHHHHHH. And well, the floor is all yours. I need to go find a new power cord… on a Sunday, about 200 miles from an Apple Store.. Oh no.. nooooooooooo

Now he is sitting on a side table barking at himself! If he wakes up the Boatress we are all doomed.

And now off to his favorite spot… Next to the paper shredder. mmm now we have two!

What? Whats the matter? Why are you looking at me? WHAT?

Get him some of those leather chew sticks shaped like big pretzels.Hard to pump those down when one end is in ones mouth and the other is wrapped around the head and stuck in ear

    Matt, we feel your pain.

Apple power cords are a delicasy for our beloved little critter Colby Jack, a Saimese cat. His pointy little fangs have wasted many a cord with ONE puncture.

Here is the latest. This is the third Mac main power supply cable that I have repaired. It was only a month old when he found it. And he’s also wasted at least a dozed phone cords.

……good thing he purrs and makes us laugh.

My cat ate 3 computer charging cords before I bought a cord guard thingy from the container store. Good luck!

We had a cat that loved to play with my daughters hair ties and ribbons. Turns out he was eating them and the elastic was all caught up in his intestinal tract. It was going to be $3000 for surgery. Like I said…We had a cat.

Hopefully he doesn’t start chewing on line voltage AC power cords as well as the low voltage DC ones. Bad habit that needs to be corrected.

Even armored cable may not work for the wrong dog. I had a Chesapeake retriever that half ate a can of WD-40. Swallowed the contents but thankfully could not swallow the can, as it was stuck in her teeth. I also once pulled a stick the size of my thumb out of her mouth, it was up in the tissue between her upper jaw and cheek. That stopped the sudden onset of drooling. Hard dogs, love them. She liked to retrieve rocks from the pond, Two-handers. (it two both arms to pick them up and throw them back)
