We got this email from a new Woody Boater Robert Neper, who is trying to find the owner of Hull Number C-33-163. Hey ya never know, someone out there is still searching for one of there data plates. Probably put of LOST DATA PLATE SIGNS all over town. So here ya go. Here is the email.
We vacationed in Stevensville Michigan for two weeks at the end of July or early August. This was from 1968 into the 2000s. After an overnight storm it was fun to comb the beach for driftwood, etc…if memory serves this plate was discovered around 1980. One of the better finds, though haven’t been able to decode.
A Chris Craft plate measuring 3 5/8″ h by 4″ wide, appears to be made of brass. Hull number is C-33-163. Two propeller numbers are also provided. In the event you can provide any information on the boat or how to research that would be great. Just discovered your site, great information. Thanks.
