Well. that’s it. Dora would be done and we all would be at home, a little sunburned, fatter and ready for boating season to start. In about a month. Maybe be wearing a new Woody Boater T shirt? And no doubt some small treasure you got at the flea market. UGH. But there is a light at the end of our tunnel of boat love. 2022 will be one hell of a whopper year at Lake Dora.

We will have our own little shows here at the dock

As crazy as it may seem. The second they announce the date. Book your place. 2022 will be the year to reconnect, and restore yourself. So today. we start the countdown. 365 ish days! Hey, before you know it we will be last gasping. I swear time speeds up as I age. Hell, I was 20 years old when I sat down at the keyboard this morning, and 62 when I got up to pee.

Can’t wait!! What a week I had at the Country Club. I’ll be sleeping it off for another week.

It was a BLAST this year! Kind of nice, no real crowds, except the canals and the Palms.

  3. Troy in ANE

Already made some reservations. Hoping to catch the Hydo races in 2022 also.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to take the full week off, but I will be shooting for at least a Wednesday to Sunday mini-vacation next year. One of these days I would love to do the two week river cruise plus show extended vacation, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Will be close but hope to be retired by then and can take all the time I want to wander down there, hang out for as long as I like then mosey back north.
