Bruiser Causes Stir At Chris-Craft Club HQ

,

Oh boy Mr B, we caused a problem!

If you are a member of the Chris Craft Antique Boat Club, you get the Brass Bell. Still in my book one of the best designed club magazines out there. Up there with the Hot Rod Journal. Bill Basler for sure caused a stir when he redesigned it back in the day. Actually when Woody Boater started. Yes its been that long.

We tied the knot over a decade ago

In a way, the CCABC and WoodyBoater are sisters, brothers, siblings. So we here at WoodyBoater are all in trying to provide support. With that is the Boat Buzz forum over in the third column. It feeds the top stories from the Boat Buzz. A great resource for information. Better than Facebook, which is like throwing your info into a garbage disposal.

And then I peed on her leg! HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Anyway, back to the click bait headline today. Turns out a bit of a stir was caused by the Bruiser ad in this latest issue of the Brass bell. “IT’S A DOG”! Not a boat? And a huge spread of an ad? On a dog!

Bruiser at the New HQ back in Jan

YUP!YIP…BTW, not just any dog, It’s Mr B, Bruiser, And Boozer, Super B, he has many names. But he is 100% Woody Boater! And I wanted to change things up a bit. The original plan was to create a centerfold type ad. That helped make the Brass Bell look great. And hopefully create a smile on folks faces. Including Mr B and Zip, and other creatures that make life fun.

Let them bitch!

So in honor of causing a stir, here is a PUPDATE on Bruiser.

Bruiser on Day one.

Last evening. Same joy!

The little man has moves!

We were able to capture some of his super powers on video!

I think the bruiser pics are cute. I didn’t know there were subliminal messages in your story about Spector, Goldfinger, or whomever hellbent on world domination

I want more videos of Bruiser “busting a move”, perhaps flying into Wecatchem – a little play on words there

Speaking about Chris – Craft.. Below is a nifty LINK about bigger boats being delivered in the 30’s, etc with the owners names and the names of the boats.. Also some follow on re-naming of 2nd or 3rd owners.. Our fellow Chattanooga neighbors offered articles about the 1947 to 1975 Chris Craft factory & dealership around the Dodds ave & 37th st in east Lake. ( That step racer / E- bay auction that mentioned being delivered to Chattanooga in 1941) http://www.shipbuildinghistory.com/shipyards/yachtsmall/chriscraft.htm

FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING WHY I JUST KILLED 12 COMMENTS. I decided it wasnt productive and the first comment went against our policy of attacking others. Sorry, normally I would leave it all up since a huge majority were positive, but without the negative comment, lacked any context.

I didn’t mean for my first comment was negative, but it came down anyway.

OK, i’ll try this again. Congrats to you Matt, Bruiser along with the railway. For making it into the Brass Bell. I liked all the above pictures. The ones with dogs bikinis, bears, Kangaroos and cowgirls. Let’s all focus more on Boats and less on things that have nothing to do with a good hard piece of wood👍😃
