AMOC Swap Meet Okauchee Wisconsin

,

Oh Gad zooks, real people, in a field. Where are is the virtual board?

A huge shout out to long time fellow Woody Boater Steve Bunda for taking the time to send us in this live ish report. It’s great to see events starting to pop up, and life kinda getting back to some sort of normal. And the best part, he didnt waste anymore time writing captions. Woohooo!

Oh! ya! a real boat. Not a pixalated one!

AHHHHHH! Did ya rub yourself all over it. I mean take off your shirt and just wallow in it? I would have. maybe a little Crisco.. OHHHHH! Feeling those little rivets on my flab! HEY! Dont judge!

What a sweet boat. Its for sale. not sure you would want it after I Crisco’d it up.

OH GAD! I will take the entire table!

GOLD

OUTBOARDS

Love the carts!

More oil cans!

PROPS! Like a little flower garden…. mmmmmm that gives me an idear!

Wow, A Ompson, Little known fact, The Ompson is the Scandinavian sister ship to the Thompson. Oh Ya Dont Ya Know. But Olof Omspson decided to call it Thompson so the US market would accept it better. It was during the time that there was some anti Scandinavian back lash. The only problem is there are no real good anti scandinavian jokes to offend anyone, so life just moved on to Polish people, and we all know how that went. How many polo… Wait. Let’s just move on here. I feel the world shifting under my feet.

I am confused and intrigued all at the same time.

OH hell ya!

One thing for sure, that engine needs some cooling up in that Wisconsin heat?

The Banner! Remember those things. Pre Pandemic and Virtual crap. People would have these vinyl things they tied up to a thing called a chain link fence. I know. Crazy!

Just drop it in and go.. ? maybe? Is that one of those Ski Supports?

LOVE THESE Robo Cop Engines

Real old boat parts. Old boat farts! Wait, I see a new name for an event. The First Anual Old Boat Parts, Boat Farts Meet!

Sweet, except its upside down? Maybe thats a North thing. To us here down south its right side up? Like New Zealand the toilets swirl the other way? I am so confused.

The props AND the CASE! I want me the entire set up

Indoor boards? Thats a joke.. Out In? Come on,

LOVE this little jem!

Again a huge thanks to Steve Bunda from Antique Wood Boat Restoration for sending in the story. To those of you wondering where a Keels and Wheels story is? Well.. QUE THE CRICKETS!

Maybe Baby!

That 283 is a ski boat engine with the bracket for the tow pole.

You should buy that one as an upgrade for Stinky. With a small block V8, that boat would be fast enough to outrun the odors!

AHHHHH!! This brightened my morning. Nothing like boats, motors, fellow old farts. and a sunshiny Wisconsin day.

I do the membership services for AOMCI internationally. Even with virtually no marketing, membership is up. Crazy! So looking forward to the big Constantine, MI and Tomahawk, WI meets later this summer! I think people are tired of the “home alone” programs and with vaccines available, just want to get out there. Yay!

The Tomahawk, WI meet is during the week this year on August 3-6, 2021. Constantine, MI is a weekend meet on July 9-11, 2021. Both are wet meets on rivers – good for small (like 14′) boats, plus a swap meet, and other activities. See: aomci.org/events. Outboards are hot!

Super good post today! Matt you really let your mind off the chain on this one. Reminds me of the good old days before the crap storms. Keep that Crisco handy and slap it on everything.
