Love Reedville Style – Did She Say Yes?

, ,

In the rain, water about to come up over the dock. Thats love!

While you all were yammering on about this and that yesterday, we had some good old fashion love happening here at the Global HQ. I have had to keep this under wraps cause it was a surprise. Nothing better than a deadline to get stuff done. And just in time.

The railway is ready… to party!

A table was thrown together with some huge Cedar slabs. I just happen to have some in the back shed

We all knew this weekend was going to be a wash out, but people had been invited, organized for one of my buddies kid to pop the question out on the dock. Well, that wasn’t gonna happen, so the Railway became a good option in case.

We need to get Yedi fast! Guess which one holds the beer?

It was a great opportunity to give the Railway a new life as a gathering spot, and what a better way than with true love. The start of a lifetime of joy, togetherness, and some “what do you want for dinner? I don’t know, what do you want?”

Old props were gathered as table art.

We also were about to finish the LOVE sign for parking area out front, and this was, is ..a great way to share the Crab Pot love with a great start. It know means a ton more than just another Virginia LOVE sign across the state. This one was born here, and the plan is to share it around town as needed or wanted.

Custom built out of Crab pots built by Marc Bershaw. Designed to not be so in your face, and moveable.

The Railway got a good deep cleaning and organizing, ish… Okay I used the blower and blew out the place and frantically shoved stuff on shelves. And here is how if looked before..

Rainy days! New gravel, concrete, even a Butler Built Boat on the railway!

Stinky is in da house. On her cradle.

Clean..ish with a perfect view of the water.

plastic chairs in the dumpster

Workshop cleaned.. ish. Sawdust is part of the charm.

Props and nautical stuff, put to use

Hanging art, not Art Armstrong, who I would like to hang with, but just art, as in coveralls.

The parts room all oragnized and also now a place to letter stuff

One mans junk.. is now my junk..

Wall of old One Shot paints

The library is starting to take shape

The look down to the room of nuts!

The office was cleaned up.

No plastic chairs !

And the bathroom was cleaned. I know! Kinda clean, okay its a messy bathroom. And it is what it is. But I did find a use for my Antique Boat Museum burgee. Hey, it just screamed bathroom!

SOOOOOO! enough milking the story, did she say yes? I mean this took some courage. A surprise proposal with family all around. YIKES. But..

Thats a good sign.

The really happy couple Kasey and Nathan.

A Huge thanks to the Altaffers family for getting the Railway off to a wonderful new life, with joy, family and love! I couldn’t have planned it any better! Woohooo!

    That kiss looks really dangerous.

    Were they tested first ?

Was it low tide ? They could have been swept out to sea.
