The Cobra’s lined up at Katz’s marina headed to the show

Bob “Have I  got a calendar for you” Kays reports in with a late Lake Hopatcong report. And a challenge for me! Oh ya! Here is the report.

Yup, we got a dock shot, people standing around, hands in pockets, a model. Its a real show alright

That guy on the hill was overheard sayn.. Look! People! With faces.

“46th Annual Show on Lake Hopatcong, nice to see people again and be back to normal! Beautiful hot day followed by an epic rain after the show. Lots of happy Woody Boaters. Have fun with captions!”

Looks exciting. You can feel the tension in the air. Oh! It’s Lake Hopatcong. Always something fun!

Here come the Cobra’s..

BLURP, BLURp, BLURP!

MORE BLURPING

BLURP

Maybe more werrrring?

Thats a perfect Lake Hopatcong boat! PERFECT. Wait.. Oh boy. CLICK HERE.. SO SAD!

Okay this comment may get me in trouble. But.. Oh, I can’t say it? But? Should I? No? Yes? No? Its over the edge, and even I know that. I mean, come on? Bob! No captions?  Just say’n….

Just kidding.

Quick show wholesome kid pics!

This is what its all about. Family, tradition and varnish

Generations of timeless joy.

Thanks to Bob for the report, hopefully I will be invited back up there once the “comment” issue dies down. One thing is for sure, you don’t get this sort of reporting elsewhere.

Looks like they had a great day and a great time with some great boats. Thanks for the report Bob.
We are headed for Algonac this weekend but it looks like we may have have some epic rain during the event. Hope the weatherman is wrong, but packing our rain gear!

    Looks like a great event!

Is that Pumpkin in that “Wholesome kid pic”?
    What ever became of her?

I tried to get my stuff together in time for the Algonac show this weekend, but I am falling short.

So close Steve, just hardware and upholstery? Couple of all nighters and boom, you’re ready?

      • Steve Anderson from Michigan

It is close, but I am not doing the upholstery myself, and the old vinyl has been ripped off the plywood to make patterns. Hardware and some other details are installed now. So close!

That is Pumpkin. Beautiful boat. I took some pics of her but failed to note who owns her and where she’s currently from. Awesome to see proto Cobra!! Great show!! Thanks to all who made it happen.

That was a great looking pocket cruiser, Skiff Craft? or ? What a shame to be torpedoed by a jet ski. It looks like it was going so fast that it penetrated port and starboard hullsides. How does one not see a white hull boat of that size?

I reckon. What the hell is wrong with that ‘watercraft’ rider?
What a menace. Waste of a gorgeous old lapstrake cruiser ruined because of that twat. Great to see Pumpkin again and Bob and Alan and his kids and Bob and his little ships mate.
