“Does Anyone Know How Do You Spell Bunghole?”

,

Mr B and Eric Zelman.

Well the first Woody’s & Wieners event is in the history books. And it did not disappoint. Small, fun and silly. Like being immersed into the comment section. Now of course within 5 minutes of getting to the Railway to set up, I knew we were off to a wackadoodle start. RING RING! “Matt.. yes.. I am broken down out in the creek. On my way.” YES. The event STARTED with a tow in. STARTED.

Yikes, in 2 ft of water and a stiff breeze

YIKES! I did run aground several times in Sweet Pea, which would have made the event even more interesting if I had gotten stuck.

Everything was opened up and allowed to enjoy the breeze

Slowly the folks started showing up

Eric explaining how he broke down.

Okay.. so imagine this is the scene, and you hear an older woman’s voice loudly. How do you spell bunghole?

This happened and is the gift of 6 months in waiting. See, I have wifi, and the password is Bunghole. Well, when you are trying to get onto the wifi on your phone. I guess if it isn’t working because its case sensitive, well.. Questions like that are asked. Yelled into a crowd? Never, until yesterday. Thank you Rita!  THANKYOU!

Whipping out the wieners! The Geraldo Riviera Building has yet to be opened up.

Some cool outboards showed up for sure

details!

It just feels normal in some sort of strange way

Some Whirlwinds made the event fun. A very popular boat in our area

A stunning day

Wonderful Feathercraft and a Lake and Sink..

The docks enjoyed some old wood again

What life is all about. Friends, Varnish, and Summer.

Eric’s insane Lake N Sea all packed up to head home. He saved a lot on fuel, thats for sure, she never did start. But she sure started the Woody’s & Wieners events with style! LOVE!!!!!!!

A huge thanks to those who showed up and started the next chapter of Woody Boater off in the wackadoodle style it deserves. STAY TUNED tomorrow for a great report in from Lee Wangstad the Legacy of the Lakes Diamond Classic Boat Show. Spoiler alert, No one yelled BUNGHOLE!

Those docks sure look a lot better with some classic boats tied up to them. The grille looks brand new. This must have been a special event. Glad you had a good day and a great time!

Thanks Matt for sharing your Reedville Marine Railway with us yesterday. It did not fail to impress, and all your hard work really has paid off, resulting in a step back in time and preservation of Chesapeake maritime history. It was a beautiful day in Reedville and a great daytrip. It was great to see old (familiar) and new faces, and hope youll continue to share your incredible time capsule. A John Rothert boat ride in one of his Whirlwinds capped a perfect day… Race results between he and Gary V are still in dispute…. 🙂

The Reedville Fishermans Museum boat show would be an excellent opportunity for others to visit RMR in September. Check out Reedville Va,… its a gem on the Chesapeake that hasnt been ruined by development, and preserving the Railway should warrant some sort of community award..!

Thanks for a nice afternoon Matt. You’ve done a nice job fixing up the railway. Feels just like WoodyBoater home. No boat break down for me, but I did get my wheelchair stuck in gravel in the driveway. Appreciated the tow😎

Going Boating with great friends on a fine day in a super location…what could be better? Well…maybe having the engine run…but that is the norm and all is right with the world. Cruised a lot. Railway is special… Thanks to All.
