Reminder to myself. Don’t use two cameras! When we arrived at Katz’s Marina, I could hear the rumble of muscle for sure. AHHHHHHHHH! The Black Katz’s Cobra was running. Oh and I mean running. So, we all looked at each other. Including Mr B, who was just happy to be with the gang! BOAT RIDE? And just like Bruiser, we all perked up. Quick, pile in. So we got into Alans cool U22 and we all just grabbed all the cameras we had, Bob Kays and I. 3 or 4 of them. NEVER DO THIS!

Its a ship show later trying to weed through hundreds of photos from different sources. And I am missing some.. WTH??? Anyway enough excuses.. Okay one more. The weather SUCKED. Bad light, grey and boring. And this boat needs sparkle. The black sides in this light are , well a black hole of light.. Okay thats the last excuse. Enjoy.. Oh and I didnt send myself captions …. so I get to make them up! Woohooo!

Posting late today as I was busy in Port Huron working with the Michigan gang on a boat show coming up in a few weeks.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Smith! As you know from your days doing car ads, black cars are always the most difficult to shoot. They either suck up all the light or they’re a giant mirror of the camera car. We always asked BMW for silver. We could make those look stunning.

Never too many cameras! I usually carry two or three at a time. I tell people if you hear a big splash, dive in quick and get the memory cards 🙂
Challenging conditions for sure, but you made it work.
Just don’t forget rule number 1 – be sure the captain takes the dock lines off. They are a bitch to Photoshop out.
