10 Tips On Practicing Safe Boat Showing.

Be safe

Trying to keep track of shows this weekend? Canceled or still on? Not sure how to remember the 20th Anniversary of 9/11? Not vaccinated, vaccinated? Mask? No Mask? The big ACBS International? So many things flying around in your head? Me too. My brain is mush to be honest. I don’t have a clear vision of how to move forward. Life over the past year and a half as been day by day. Always on edge. Everyone is. A Boat Show could be part of the metal health cure. Some sense of normalcy is important. Here are some tips on how to be as safe as possible at a boat show.

  1. Be vaccinated. Period.
  2. Wear a mask. Over your nose and mouth, none of that nose hanging out crap.
  3. Don’t shake hands or hug.
  4. Stay outdoors. You can skip the awards night rubber chicken stuff. This is your excuse.
  5. Go out on the water as much as you can.
  6. It’s okay to lick a boat.. Sniff it and rub it.
  7. It’s not okay to do any of that to another person.
  8. If you even kinda feel sick. STAY HOME!
  9. Show up early, Friday even.  Leave before 11 ish, that’s when the crowds get larger. Or later in the day.
  10. Thank the volunteers, don’t be a Richard…. and push your anti anything on them. For god’s sake, they are just trying to bring back some sort of normalcy, and your Vaccine G5 implant theories are just so wackadoodle, that some 70 year old lady at the gate has to hear, is not worth it, and they will leave. Or sadly catch whatever spew you are blowing on them and really get sick. just shut the Fudge up, wear your dumb mask and enjoy.  This is the real reason some shows are cancelled. Because of the fear of dealing with you.

Okay then, that got a tad over the top. Sorry Horace.. Anyway, So today. Plug away. Put your event in the comment section. Some of us, need a varnish fix before we are last gasping, for sunshine and warmth but doing it safely so this last gasp isn’t your real last gasp… of air.

MIS IS SO MFUN! What? MFUN! WHAT? Don’t touch me? What? Mooom, Stewart is breathing on me? STEWART! Stop trying to kill your brother.

Well, since Matt twisted my arm, the Michigan gang hopes as many WoodyBoaters as possible come see us in Port Huron this Friday and Saturday.

Heading to the ‘Boat the Blue’ in Port Huron tomorrow with boat in tow, and really looking forward to attending a show. We’re all vaccinated and will bring masks, but no ‘mask-mandate’ in our Coronado. The only mandate is to have fun and enjoy.

Went into a C-Store yesterday that is requiring masks again. Lincoln County is considered a hot spot (by Maine standards anyway).

Just remember IF (and I only say IF to prevent too much politics) this thing is a manufactured virus it is not going away any time soon, if ever. It will morph, Morph, and MORPH again until we are all immune or dead. And you thought Lyme disease was a problem.

I’m sure you can visualize the rest of the picture.

It’s not to be missed. Except by me, who was tempted to hide that wedding invitation we got in the mail a couple of months ago.

Why do people get married during boating season. December, January and February are great months for weddings.

I totally agree. Years ago I attended our Big Bear show without my wife. Everyone wanted to know where she was and I told them she was at her cousin’s wedding. The next question was how come you didn’t go with her to which I honestly replied that I’d been at his first 2 weddings. I think he’s on #4 now.

I’m glad that we were able to have the show in Hessel. I was a volunteer and everyone treated me very well. No one unloaded on me.

I am so upset about all this Virus sh#t. Why do we worry about going to an outdoor Classic boat show with 100 people tops, when every football stadium is filled with 50,00 to 100,00 people jammed packed on top of each other? And No health scare?
Sorry to rant, Go boating and support your local boat shows.
