My First Car Free Day! Oh, And What A Day!

,

Slow morning ride to HQ

I know, you are here for boat show pics. Go over to Facebook, and weed through the “what concert did you go to as a kid” posts, and you will find some stuff. But here, we are trying to bring art to the show universe and art takes time. Not Art Molly O Art. He is timeless! Anywho, I had my first Car Free Day! Yup, a day with no car, truck or anything with wheels. Just boat to here and there.

Just another day at the office.. ish

The Railway, lunch with Wayne, and entertainment. Gotta say.. I could get used to that ish. Its a romantic concept for sure, but if you need one part, or anything, you are screwed. Unless you need a screw.. I have thousands of them. So sit back, live vicariously through… through.. why would you want to live vicariously through me? Getting up at 3AM, Achy bones, too much work. At least I am healthy-ish and have one sweet Boatress.

I have been working on the Railway Sign.. all the ding dong days

Laying it out on Plywood to be installed over the Office

I used the Ben Moore Cottage Redwood on the base and an old can of Off White Interlux paint for the lettering. Rule lines allow be to reference the art created, and then a white grease pencil sketch. It feels right to go through the zen of painting it. When you do it this way, you “Feel” The letter forms, and why certain things are the way they are. Its actually very spiritual.

Perfect non perfect. Just Perfect

The install. My son up from New Orleans and some of his buddies helped do the hanging. YIKES.

Ya ya, Take your millennial pictures.. Wait? I am taking a picture. YES! I still am hip.. with old hips.. BTW, we need more young people

Alright! BOAT RIDE!

The sign above the office, the place is getting there. I had gone full press for the show.

Boat rides with very hip young people. Oh just not normal young people. But Rock stars. Adam and Lucas from the band Triathlon out of Brooklyn NY, touring all over, Ham the artist and Kelsey, artist, model and future daughter. And the Boatress. THIS is what a 25 Sportsman was designed for, and she is still doing her thing!

Okay.. this happened. It was insane. The boatress was telling Lucas to turn. Yes Back seat driving.

Oh crap! My hat flew off. Lucas was driving. CRAP

Right in his hand. WTH? Not even a shift in anything . He just raised his hand and CATCH! Never seen anything like it. DAMMMM, ROCK STAR COOL.

Friends for years. This is what life is all about. Moments of togetherness. A true timeless moment.

Oh god. Dad! what in the hell are you doing? Love me some strange angle stuff

I see an Album cover image here. Wait, thats right, no more Album covers. Ugh. I see a, see a? happiness.

And today. I am back to work. And taking stuff to the dump. The car free day concept is now done! And I have to pay for it all. STAY TUNED for reports from events. Kent O. Smith will be reporting in from Niagara!

Looks like a great day on the water and I love the sign. You do good work!
Since you brought it up, I thought I would add a little “Art Molly-O” art.

Living on the coast of Maine and running a mobile tool business the traffic can become a bit of a “Pain in the A**” so for many many years I have take the week of July 4th off with the goal of not getting in a wheeled vehicle for the whole week. It has been wonderful.
If we need groceries we will just hop in one of the boats and run up the Sasanoa River to Bath where Bracket’s Market is across the street from the town dock.

AB at the Bath town docks.

Hi Troy, We will be visiting the NorthEast in the Spring, with our RV. I would like to hook up and see that American Beauty.
What port do you hail out of?

        Hi Dennis:

I am out of Edgecomb Maine, but we sold American Beauty last year and she now resides in Rhode Iland.

Could probably arrange for you to get a ride in Yorktown.
