A.D.D. Day At The Railway. You May Get Dizzy Reading.

Hanging out at the railway. What could possibly go wrong?

Sorry for the late post, there is some sort of glitch going on that keeps deleting the copy when? UGH. We decided to try a different plan for the shaft log. Go over it, verses from the sides. All this while the shop got a good cleaning by mother nature, and we also hung up PEA WEE for winter storage.. Or forever. Sorry again, for the dealy, and to my Mother in Law who just called to see if I was Okay. YES! And yes emails.. I am fine. I do want to hurl my computer out the window though.

we have had some monster tides. Hey! Mr B has been having some kinda fun! And the floor is clean… ish..

All the rot is out, but decided on a new way to fix. George came up with a better way. No surprise there.

Get out the chain saw and made a huge block to go OVER the log, not sides.

Get out the chain saw

Smoothing it out.

The hooks and lift plan was old pullys. The center one is a chain hoist, and the two on the sides are a safety and keep it steady things. Just reusing what I have, no new purchases

Then back to the chunk!

Okay thats it for now, all subject to change, and then change agian.

Those skimpy little ceiling joists look pretty small-I went with 2×10’s to lift “Chug” up on trailer.

Wow, How great is it to have George as a “consultant” to assist getting a difficult job done! THAT has to be one of the best benefits of buying the Railway!!

Id be interested in peoples techniques for moving boats from trailers to boat dollys in the shop without a gantry or overhead I beam trollys . ( franknstein1492@gmail.com )

And I may have to drop off some empty sand bags next trip down that way ! 🙂

The only thing is George is starting to recognize my phone number on his flip phone. So I may need to start using other peoples phones to call him. HA

As I own a lumberyard and sell trusses, nothing should be hung on the bottom chord of a truss except drywall, just saying. Don’t want Pea Wee to come crashing down. Just saying for safety.

Been lifting boats and motors with this set up for over 20 years. One on each end/lifting ring… I think PeeWee is just fine – I can’t imagine it weighs more than 150 pounds. 😊
