Funny thing about disasters. Yes Odd and Funny ha ha BTW. They can actually be very photogenic. They capture emotion, and things we can only imagine in our dark thoughts. The good news is the day after is always beautiful. Not sure how that works? Maybe it’s natures way of feeling guilty. Ya! Sure.

Thanks for cracking me up yesterday in the comment section. The jokes helped. As you know I see humor in everything. It’s just stuff. Now clean stuff. We all do care, but all you can do is laugh and stick your head down and move on.
Now you know why I picked the highest part of the property for my parking spot! It’s also the only “reserved “ parking in town. Gotta give a shout out to Matt for making the sign. Who else has a sign post made of 4×4 black walnut?
Is the high tide over for now? I hope so and know that the clean up will be a massive task. Keep that positive attitude my friend!

We had a little rain up in the Finger Lakes region also. Good luck with your clean up and fresh water rinsing. Ok I guess the joys of electronics want me to wait on adding pictures. Hopefully I get that worked out
Key questions: How much higher than predicted was this high tide? What drove the abnormal height? The storm that became the Cape Cod Nor’easter a day or two later? How often has the water gotten this high in Reedville?

Argghhh Matt. What a mess. Is this an historical regular thing? All that salty water getting into your equipment is a nightmare. I hope you get back to normal soon and that you’re able to get it all washed down.
Wondering what your cleanup process is? Just hose down with fresh water and set up fans to dry or just let natural sun air/wind do its best?
To bad Reedville didn’t lower the lake to get ready for the storm (wink)
