One of the most fun parts of cleaning out a Barn Find is, well, finding stuff frozen in time. You can just back story stuff and get an idea of what life was like back in the day. It’s clear that she was a VERY well loved boat, but in rural Virginia back in 1975 one did have many options for a new bottom. Add to that, age of owner, and maybe other stuff, and the boat just got set aside. But was LOVED.
Sportsman sit a little Starboard. At least WECATCHEM does and some others I have seen. Like just a bit? Is it possible that it Drove the owner crazy and he used this area for weight and a way to keep the bow down with weight when he was alone? I do know from the family that he was ALWAYS messing with Props and trying to max out speed?
STAY TUNED, More Milking in progress.
