It Seems Like Years Since We Dora…ed Together

It feels like 100 years ago.

Two years! No .. wait 3 years. WTH? Its been three years since we all have basked in the glory of Dora. 2 events, but when I left last time I thought, I will be back in 365 days, and that was three years ago. over 1000 days ish ago. Hell, we have all aged, and according to the Robb Report will be inundated by young people. Oh god! The good news is dinner at 5 will be less of a competition. And I need to stock up on less 4X shirts.

Glub, glub, glub

mmmm healthy young people in FLA. BTW, young in FLA is 50 and a little off kilter. So that part Is fun and something to look forward too. Like waiting to see what the first day of school brings us. OH come on, there isnt a guy reading this that doesn’t remember that first day back in high school scanning the freshmen class for new talent. Hey! Don’t judge me. I just watched others doing it. So insensitive of them. boys can be so immature. For the record the term is “Peter Pan” syndrome.

She ran when I parked her in the barn 3 years ago

For women, it’s called “Princess” Hey, we are an equal opportunity offender here. NO JUDGEMENTS!

But with that said. The idea of a gathering of Peter Pan’s and Princess’s is long over due. Then again, maybe some of us have aged since we met. NOT MATURED, just aged. Like a fine wine. Or Cheese. Troy?

Pontoon Cheese Boat.

Some of us are still scanning the freshmen class which could lead to an uncomfortable situation in cuffs and I don’t mean the velvet kind. I’m not sure if I’m ready to socialize with the few of us that are left. Is there a self help group to bring us back to reality besides WB?

Yes looking forward to seeing everyone again! It’s only been 2 years for us we pulled Mom’s Mink down for the 2020 show. We went the week before the show. So on the Sunday I was driving down they canceled the show. There was 5 or 6 other boats that were there. We took a few boat rides to lunch as a group. It was fun and less crowded is right!
Can’t wait to show friends the Dora Canal this year!

    Off topic…

I stole that pontoon boat cheese and meat idea for our huge extended family Holiday gathering a few years ago. Not everyone appreciated it.

But it reminds me of another great idea I saw on the Qualified Captain Instagram feed. It’s called a “Snackle Box”. You take one of those inexpensive clear tackle box inserts with the little dividers and put your assorted cheeses, meats and crackers in the individual compartments. Best part is that those cheap boxes have clear plastic lids so it doesn’t spill on the boat or the way to the boat and it’s easy to separate the salami from the cheddar. Perfect for Lake Dora. You can thank me later.

Rabbit do you mean like this?

I will not put up a picture of what I would call a “snackle box”.
