Working on a new T shirt thought

Since we are among “friends” here or co conspirators, brothers, sisters, yada yada. We can talk. One of the leading statements I always get about my boat love. ” I sure love those boats, but they sure are a lotta work” Or any other statement of them being different. They of course are justifying being a lemming or pod person. Living life on the freeway of life. And well. That aint for me, and isn’t fun riding through life on one large bus with all of us going together to where? What fun is that? It’s hell to me.

You are never alone in a classic boat. You have her history with you to keep you company

So in many ways I always try and enjoy the trip and and take back roads even if I have no idea where they go. I just know that they all lead to the same place. And if you look at yourself in the mirror, you see that in yourself as well. Or not. Okay look out at your dock. Pontoon boat? Yup. Your a lemming. Okay maybe a comfortable reliable Lemming. With lots of Lemming friends. But I will be the one out there broken down and having the time of my life. And refusing to be towed in by you just out of spite.

One shot that says it all.

Okay, maybe this isn’t really romanticizing our way of life. And thats okay. Cause love and joy always has a degree of difficulty attached to it. It’s the tension that makes love stronger. And man oh man, it’s the life for me. The life in the Channel that isn’t marked. But you know is there.

I wear my special sandbar glasses.

    AMEN BROTHER!

John in Va…highwayman of the road less traveled.

Usually the road less traveled has better scenery but bigger potholes which I would say describes our hobby/sport. I would guess we like the challenge and reward.

The lake is still solid but we are getting closer!

Amazing Matt. I was just sitting here on my 56th Birthday reflecting on the past and contemplating the future. I guess I’ve always taken the road less travelled by, and that has made all the difference. No reason to stop now.

    Dear Matt,
Suffice it to say, that our close group of co-conspirators, enablers and characters are so far off the exit ramp of “normal” (whatever that is these days), that we are sometimes seen as nuts by others.
If that’s the definition of “the road less traveled”, then I’m honored to be on the same highway with such a grand group of friends and family.
And, chances are, if there are more of you out there, I’ve got room in my truck.
    Road trip anyone? 😄
