Different Boats For Different Times Of The Day.

Alex Watsons dock

I am a huge proponent of owning multiple boats. One is never just right. There is no one perfect boat. Its not a collector thing, or crazy thing, it makes sense. You have family boats, fun speed boats, race boats, reliable boats, kids safe boats, old lady boats, speedo dude boats, pontoon give up your manhood boats, I am not a manhood yet Jet Skis, you name it, there is a boat made for that use.

We all need a fleet of sorts

BUT. I have discovered another reason to own several boats. TIME OF DAY.  Like in the headline. Ya, kinda gave away to plat twist in the name of the story. But I am padding here for more pictures.

Sunrise on lake Dora.

Morning boats. Its usually flat water in the AM, brisk and you can go out and just race around, or enjoy the water without the crazies.

Mid day boating is timeless

Mid Day boats – Usually a more social boat, larger, and can be docked at a lunch spot, and can take a rouge wake without a catastrophe.

Taking it all in

Sunset boats – Slower, reliable, and able to rumble so you can talk with folks.

Bob!!!

Driving in the dark boats- LIGHTS. And well who cares how it looks as long as it gets you home safe.

Or another option….like yesterday was taking friends out and lost a motor on the big one, limped home and took the spare boat out!

Not only times of day but time of the year in the spring and fall when it’s cooler, the steam boat or the Dispro make for enjoyable ride with their slower speeds. The slow speed launches also fall into that category

You left out the cruiser – When you just need to get away for a few days (0r weeks) and slow down with no need to return to a dock… 😉

The plastic boat is much older than our two woody’s. Except for their old Merc motors, of course.
