Honey, I Am Stepping Out For A Sec. Just Going To A Yard Sale. Be Right Back!

Wasnt I just hear, here?

One of the most fun parts of our little passion is spontanious road trips. Hail Mary’s. Well yesterday morning right after the flagpole story I had a once in a lifetime chance to get a preview of a special yard sale about to happen. All I needed to do was be there. LIKE NOW. Now from the image at the head of the story, you no doubt are thinking. WHAT? Isnt that Algonac?

8:30 PM Crossing to Harsens Island

YES! A true déjà vu moment. Wasn’t I just here? There? Yes, and Yes and there again. 13 hrs each way. But when you get a chance like this, you go! Fast. And more importantly get home FAST before anyone notices. Which after 35 years of blissful marriage is possible. I hope?

Art wearing the colors!

So what about the yard sale? Well glad you asked. Our longtime pal and fellow Woody Boater Art Armstrong is clearing out some of his stuff. A Y-ART SALE! We all need a deep cleansing from time to time. Over the next couple days I plan on milking this one for sure, since I really didnt have much time to take pictures. But the truck is loaded with some goodness for the Global HQ. STAY TUNED

I got some flies!

IT’S 7:30 AM and already in Ohio headed back. Yikes.

I’d normally say there is no way this is real, but with you and Art as the main actors, anything is possible!

Y-Art sale? Very creative, but that’s all we get???? I guess since you’re on the road for 26+ hours, an in depth story outside of what you just posted would be difficult. Hope you can find decent food on the road. I think there are healthier choices in Canada. My favorite is a The Pita Factory near Cambridge Ontario. The owner there knows customer service.

WTF! Sounds like a lot of road time. I hope you get some cool stuff. Did you just want to see the repaired Molly-O ?

    Nice dramatic setup!
Now we get to see the WB treasures on the HQ homepage over the last few weeks of August.

    Lookin’ forward…

I wonder what the gas/food/lodging/trinket acquisition cost for this spontaneous little trip… and maybe what it would have been 18 months ago?
What I wouldn’t give for a mean tweet right now.
    Let’s go Brandon!!!

Love the shot of the Colony Tower. Always played a game with the kids as to who saw it first on the way to my parents house which was just down the canal from it. Bet we would still play it even though they are 38 and 42 now. Great memories.
