The Reedville Show Prep Is Underway

, ,

Shameless plug!

T Shirts are ready.

We got notes from Texx, and Kent that both events Gull Lake and Lake George have been captured, but for different reasons, we are not getting a story from them today. So.. Guess what you get. A Reedville Show Teaser. Cleaning up the railway for the Friday Night Reception and boats at the show. The show will be spread out all over the historic town, and on different homes docks. Including the Railway which will have some very cool Chesapeake Work Boats. Anyway, today.. Railway and Show stuff.

Janet O getting some major work will be on the Rails, and Luna a wonderful Friendship Schooner restored work boat style

Luna arriving to test the docks

WECATCHEM may or may not be here. She will be my Commuter boat, and rides

The railway has been all cleaned

I cleaned up as well. The Boatress is always perfect.

Even the birds in the area are getting there spots ready

The plantings and other stuff is ready.. maybe too ready. Too clean.. BTW it takes two seconds to revert back to its original glory

The docks will be full of history

Ready for you

Even the sunsets are ready. September sunsets are insane here

No I mean INSANE fire sky kinda stuff. This was about 10 seconds later.

We even have a bathroom. Oh ya! Fancy!

Puffy clouds make September days magical here.

BOAT HILL is all cleaned up and ready

Janet O soaking up to be pulled back up. She takes a bath every couple days to keep her tight…ish

YIKES!

This is just the Railway, we have large work boats coming, so the docks at several restaurants will be full as well, not to mention the main event at The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum.

She is 100 years old this year!

The Museum will have a bunch of smaller boats, Jimmys fleet etc and many cool old cars.

Poorboys and Beer will be part of the fun at the Museum.

For registration and more info. Visit RFMusum.org HERE

This is a small show. 50 boats expected. the town its self is a show. And so is the Chesapeake Bay this time of year.

I plan on a road trip there next year. This year has been all about cleaning up my own property during my 1st year of retirement. Glad I can do a land display so as not to demonstrate how slow Panther is. Looks much faster on land. I figure start with Reedville and over the next couple of years work my way down to Tavares. Or start in Tavares and hide Pather behind Sweet Pea until the Reedville show. You’ld probably never even notice her.

The cat boat, Luna, has got some beautiful lines. But you better be ready to duck that big ass boom on a tack when it swings from side to side. Looks like the show is shaping up to be a great example of all the watercraft there.

Not sure what you’re telling us when you mention the bathroom and show a picture of the building with a line up of garbage cans “standing by” on the ground below… 😉 It looks like it’s shaping up to be a wonderful weekend in Reedville!

Take good notes on what works and doesn’t as we’re going to need pointers for next year’s Int’l ACBS pre-event fun on the Inland Waterway!!!!
    (Insert shameless plug here………)
Good luck with a great event in Reedville and the Railway’s Grand Debut too!!!
