Chill’n, Burn’n, and Shoot’n

I call this. Dock Shot Reflection

It’s getting to be that time of year when the summer fun is kinda over, and yet, boating is amazing. The weather can be brisk, and still warm, darkness arrives earlier than it should, and stories are sparse. There isn’t much on ebay to talk about, and no one sank, blew up or broke down. A slow news day, so I gotta goto the one thing that always seems to deliver, but is getting a tad over done. HQ!

Flat water, crisp air and magic moments

Mr B is very happy about his new spot in the shade

Says it all

Basking in the last moments of summer, and ready to light that sucker up

Burn’n good.

Lit!

So, plainer chips make a great fire starter. YIKES! That is one hot fire, maybe too hot.

The good news is we do have some stories in the Q regarding correct color and need for info on a Higgins. But today, I am just gonna chill.

She has been a good ride this summer! Just a little more

Impressive fire pit, I found that mahogany planning curls were the best fire starters.

“we do have some stories in the Q”

You may want to rephrase that to “queue” to eliminate any confusion or comparison to things in the news right now.

Sadly, Tiger Lily will probably get winterized and tucked in the barn for the winter this week. Water Lily will stay on the lift for a few more weeks for some Fall color rides on our home port Lobdell Lake.

Chill’n…….burn’n…..and shoot’n. That is a normal time out West here.

Yep, we spend the winter months freez’n and wait’n for enough snow to fill the reservoirs….which does not occur enough anymore, so we spend eight months watch’n the State just burn’n everything to a damn crisp, and then, we are so pissed off that many go out and do some shoot’n. Mostly road signs.

That is nice fire pit. We used to be able to do that sort of thing out West here too but we cannot anymore.

Having been there I always like a good WBGHQ story.

Melody is now on the hard in Belhaven, NC and we are finally recovered from Reedville Covid enough to fly home. Our plan is to return in January for a relaunch and hope to see you all in Dora.

Glad to hear that John in VA iS doing well!
