Mr B

The chill in the air marks a moment in time we all will sadly share.

A time we say so long to making right all that is wrong, with a boat ride that changes our stride.

As summer sadly leaves us, we can bask in the joy it gave us, we can thank mother nature for blessing us with moments of peace and friendship.

Our last ride is a time to reflect on the reflections the sunshine gives us, the inner sanctuary of that moment in frozen time.

Calm waters, warm sunlight and mother nature at her best, we can honestly say, we used the warmth fully, and with love.

That last ride home is so full of emotion, knowing that we shall meet again, in the warm golden hours of summer.

Smile, it will soon be time again before we know it to drink the flat waters and find our old t shirts to keep cool

And once the ride is over, we will all say, just one more. Oh Mr B, thats always okay with me…

This is such an appropriate subject today as Molly-O gets put on the hooks today for the last time of this season. We had an awesome summer here with great weather and lots of friendships. However fall has come…….sea you reay old friend.

Have you been plagiarizing a Hallmark card? I need more “edgy” Monday mornings to make it through the week. Guess I’ll just check the overnight murders in the news. But what a great weekend weather wise getting in a motorcycle ride and couple beers with friends. Would have been superior had it been on the boat. Cold spell rolling in but a foot of snow predicted for Marquette Michigan??? Yikes

I just heard that Marquette has 9 inches already today and are expecting 2 feet……time for the Armstrong’s to head to Florida.

    Snow? Jeezus.

Out here in the West, we have wildfires still burning, the trees are still green, and the temp yesterday was 85

Had my last gasp last week. We finished taking all boats out and winterizing them.Took the dock out. Closed the cabin down. Getting ready for the winter and the hard water in Michigan’s beautiful U P . It was a good summer of boating !

Never a last gasp on the Central Coast of California but we seem to have a bit of a water problem. This is what’s left of Lake Lopez.

Flurries here in Northern Illinois today but it’s supposed to be 70 on Sunday. My 16 ft Lyman and I have a date for a last gasp then. That’s the benefit of an outboard trailer boat that lives in the garage; you can go at a moment’s notice if the weather allows. Even so, this will be the latest in the fall I’ve ever taken her out.

I have put away the 2 Chris crafts for the season without a last gasp on either one of them. Too many time constraints…
I am leaving the pontoon in for a couple of weeks and should be able to get a last gasp before pulling it out. With the outboard I can leave it in until the lake starts to freeze!
