Wonderful lights and costumes

Well, last night we went to one of the many parades that take place in New Orleans. This time it was a Krampus Parade. Although December 5th is the official day of Krampus, For those of you wondering what in the heck, or hell actually Krampus is. He is the other side of St Nicholas. Or Santa in our American culture. Krampus would come out and take the children that we naughty.  Anyway, New Orleans seems like the perfect place to meet him.

Before the parade, sitting at a resturant and enjoying the mild weather

The colors and lights make this a wonderful colorful event

Krampus does exercise on his bike

This Krampus was actually scary and had a large net and was screaming for your naughty children.

Meet Angry Lil Santa, he was walking around maybe a little drunk.

Another Krampus

She was amazing

Everyone gets into it

Thank god we had some angles there

St Nick did apear.

Husband looked at a possible job in Nawlins – as we were taught to say it. Interesting place to visit, but quickly decided living there wasn’t for us.

We have visited New Orleans a couple times. Enjoyed the great food, oysters and a “swamp tour” we took that was narrated by a second generation Cajun. That was a blast!

Glad to see the WB site is alive and well again.

Those religious types do like to scare folks into flying the straight and narrow buttttttt does it really work or does it just scare the dickens out of little kids and make everyone just eat and drink MORE!

WOW, Krampus! Never heard of him, glad I’m not in New Orleans.

I think I will stick with a good old fashion spanking thanks!

Joni Mitchell does Krampus??? Looks like fun! Throw in a couple Elf’s on a shelf and you got the whole thing covered! Sorry, couldn’t resist… 😉

The Elf on the Shelf is into the old fashion discipline also.

Wow, they seem to have tradition to cover just about anything — do they have one that has a ‘spirit’ that will come and take away a boat that has been acting ‘naughty’?????
