Over the past week, now that I have heat in the Railway Office, I have been putting in the final touches of insulation and planking. I know this seems to take forever, but the planking is the time killer for sure. Each board is split on the band saw from Cedar out on the stacks of wood. This way it has a very cool texture and is from the railway for the railway. This is the way it would have been done rather than any new stuff.
But things, as they do around here, got a little carried away in the Art Dept. Ya. I had a blank wood canvas and it needed a little sumthn sumthn
So you ask… Why a Woolsy’s sign? Well, Woolsy’s was the brand of choice way back in the day at the Railway.
And there ya have it. Another day creating art. Not like Art’s parents did about 100 years ago……..
