One Photo From Indian Lake With So Much History
I have been holding this one image back because its just too juicy to have it in a sea of photos. Like the BW shot of the storage showroom. but this one is current. YUP. And that Racer is.. Yes, the racer in the old family photos. Grandama fave! Stay tuned on that story.
And yes, its an endless journey through all this, and is so wonderful to just take it all in and know there are folks that care to keep history alive. I bow to thee Greg. As Greg told me, dad would say, “why do you want that stuff, its taking up space that we could rent out space for” And that is the truest thing I have heard regarding how we all got here drooling over old signs and stuff. Think about it, We all chuck stuff that we take for granted. And so it goes. So bask and dive in. All of it is real, and still in the universe. Not the land fill!
Outstanding story! It only proves the old saying, “ One man’s junk is another r man’s treasure”!
You dog! I thought we were getting the Schuyler Chris Craft Story today. The photos of that shop are wonderful. I can smell the place!
I love the racing runabouts!! That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope there is a story coming about this one.
Hacker? or maybe another Dart?
Keep the milk flowing!
Troy, I would love to give you a hint but the milk man has my comments in quarantine. 🙂
Matt should buy a dairy farm.
Matt IS a Great Dairy Farm – – Yes – –
Awesome photo & amazing that it’s current! Thanks to Matt, Greg & others, for keeping this wonderful story series flowing.
I agree, that is an awesome photo. A LOT of cool stuff in there. Keep em coming Matt. Thank you Greg for all the material. You have saved us from several dog stories.
Woof!
YA TROY! Momma needs a new story every day!
Keep it coming my friend!!!!!!!
…and the story on “Bye Gone” is???
“Bye Gone”, what a great name that would make on a classic boat today. The neon dealer sign could be repaired, but might not be worth the cost? Is that possibly a later model Hacker sitting by the racer? Looks to have the black gunnels.
Well. It does take about 345 pulls to make a gallon of milk.
So this could take awhile.
