A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll, And Little Bit Of Mahogany.

Donny and Marie on WoodyBoater! The first sign of the apocalypse.

Well, I guess we all need to run out and buy a Chevy Truck now. Thanks to Bob ” Have I Got A Calendar For You” Kays for seeing the sliver of mahogany in the comercial. Can you find it? And to take it Woody Boater further. Who’s boat was that?  Anyone?

I will say that borrowing the Donny And Marie tune was genus. What could be done with Puppy Love?

Sorry!

I get up early and this is what is on WB. I guess you do need a truck to pull your boat. the days of towing them with station wagons is over. However I am a FORD F series man. Number 1 in sales for 41 years! Ive been running them for a long time and despite Donny and Marie I’m not switching now.

I caught that one also blurred out to my wife and daughter that was a wood boat they backed in. Love my suburban to pull the boats. Liked my old 76 Chevy custom deluxe pick up for pulling also but it had the mid range gears in the rear end, it was great for pulling but was it ever thirsty

Chevy is in a lot of trouble and it looks like they have decided that slick advertising and oversees production are the answers.

Not sure what they did with previous bailout money.

They take our bailout money, our tax dollar, and then how does this world wide manufacturing company thanks us? by closing 2 plants in the USA, not outside our country. No amount of wooden boat or country music inclusion will ease the pain of that slap in the face and I was a GM guy. Bub bye

Years ago (20?) one of my cousins decided to get a new Chevy truck, but it had to be 100% made in the USA. He researched and actually got what he asked for: Standard cab, base model – vinyl seats, rubber floormats, manual windows, six cylinder, manual tranny, no radio – you get the picture. I have driven Fords and owned Chevys, including a 1958 heavy-half Fleetside, and two duallys, but now tow with a Toyota Tundra. I seriously doubt there are any trucks/vehicles available in the US any longer that are 100% domestic. Oh – just a thought… We don’t grow mahogany here – do we? 🙂

Amen Dick Dow, I towed with 2 different Suburban’s and all their brake problems for years and purchased a Tundra Double Cab a few short years ago and will never go back.

anybody that bought a G.M. product after that bailout fiasco where they told me my stock I owned in their crocked company was no longer worth anything but they would be glad to sell me some new and improved stock deserves what they get. almost as good as Chryslers where the taxpayers bail them out and the italians end up owning it.

Best/toughest/coolest truck I ever owned was a 58 Studebaker E6.. had teeth painted in the grill and “Jaws” on the hood!….close second my beloved 49 Jeepster…..those were the days….countless Model A’s and I confess even a Corvair…which is cool today but don’t run the heater or the CO will do you in ….the car that Ralph killed….

    Chevy…, NO!
I’m 69, grew up in Michigan, stopped counting cars at 25.
Not many Chevy’s, always disappointed, engines and bodies.

Now connected with “a little bit country, a little bit rock” ??

Where did the buy-out go, why did ‘they’ do that with my tax dollars?
