And Now A Winter Break From Delavan Lake

Glenna Faye got some shaft work, and is enjoying the winter white out in style
While we wait for some digging into a pile of Hull Cards, and the venturing into rabbit holes all over the internet. And there are a bazillion of them. And back to back Zoom meetings with work. A very busy time for us. I had to step outside and just go to my happy place. Here are some nice photos of the snow storm that nailed us here in Virginia.

Snow around here is not all normal. So when it happens it”s fun to get out there and grab some pics

Well, the insulation works

Keepn the doors shut

Not gonna sit and hang out today

A wnice dusting 4 inches of powder

Very Black and White

What a wonderful crisp moment

White Caps?

The light was perfect
If the water was hard you could say it looks like Michigan!
Hockey on natural ice! Very cool, Greg!
Yep!
Our “dustings” up in Northern MI are measured in feet though……..!
One of my good friends lives in Vienna Corners, just east of Gaylord. He was saying they have gotten 171″ already this year? Crazy!
This is proving to be a CRAZY winter.
We traveled to Belhaven, NC to prep, and launch Melody for our trip to the St. John’s River. After two weeks of cold and rain we returned home, made flight reservations and will be going to Dora via air not water. The storm that dropped 4″ on Reedville dropped 10″ on Melody in Belhaven. Yup that is still further south than you are.
At least I was able to finish my solar installation while we were there.
We’re about 5 inches above our yearly allotment of snow for this season.
Waiting for Jim Staib’s friendly weather report with pictures.
Only a couple feet of snow but cold. Weeks below zero. Fell on the ice and this is the second week not in the hospital this year medical services suck up here.
Lots of January snow, here in northern KY. And very cold temps that kept it around a long time. Though I didn’t risk it, the lake seemed solid enough to be on for awhile. Then it thawed & rained, leading to flooding. Thankfully, it appears to have peaked yesterday, without our area sustaining the damage that occurred in the eastern portion of the state. A shorter stretch of bitter cold now has a thin layer of ice, over the now receding water.
thank you Mr. Smith. When the road opens, heading to Duster’s world. Mahalo.
Snow in Virginia! That’s something enjoy it while it’s there. I was up in the Upper Peninsula last weekend for a few days. They have a lot of snow up there and we got 10 inches more , while we were there. They’re a long way from boating season up there, but it was fun.
……snow that looks like foam
One thing about salt/brackish water, little to no ice at the docks.
