Bob Kays Goes Woody Boating In The Middle Of Winter!

Postcardin Bob Clayton2

Bob visiting Clayton yesterday! Man they are having a warm winter.

Yesterday here in Virginia we had a huge storm and all our power was out including the internet and phones. AHHHHH. Not to mention, but I will it was 10 degrees, with 50 mph winds. Ya some of you in Michigan may be laughing, but down here in the South y’all it was mighty cold. So as I was stuck in the house, I was shocked to see that our pal Bob, ‘Have I got a calendar for you” Kays went on a vacation.

Then Bob went out on the water. Wow, I am headed up to Clayton right now!

Bob you dog!  Hopefully this warms up your day as much as it did mine! Thanks Bob!

Post carding Racing

Bob says it was no contest!

Then Bob went to the amusement park!

Post carding Miami

Then down to Miami! That little boat sure gets around

And then Bob went home to lake Hopatcong, which was surprisingly warm as well. It’s good to be Bob!

Postcarding Hopat

Lake Hopatcong, Bob has some timeless fun!

Just because its freezing outside doesn’t mean you have to freeze in your mind. Just 39 Days til Florida!

That sure looks better than the -12F we have here in Michigan. An electric heater is running in the crawl space under the cottage to keep the water pipes from freezing. YUCK!!!!

that was fun. it took 3 post cards to get it , but my frozen brain slowly kicked in. now off to the shop to sand down an old fuel tank to make mercury red. thinking warm thoughts

I am pretty sure the pictures of Clayton and A bay were not taken yesterday. The water appears a bit too liquid and there is too much exposed skin for the subzero temps and the wind. We all know Bob is a tough guy, but not that tough!

Even 60 degrees and sunny in North Florida yesterday.
Bet Paul & Karen Harrison went boating down in Mt. Dora yesterday. here today but 50 degrees by 10 AM.
Big story in today’s paper days Canadians may get to spend more than six months down here…I didn’t know there was a time limit.

Bob you could make a calendar out of those post cards!

    Great story!

Matt tonight looks like it could be a little rough for you.

Didn’t go boating yesterday, but I did mow the lawn… I think when we finally do get our freeze, there are going to be an awful lot of already sprouting/budding plants and flowering trees that will be pretty confused!

We quadrupled our snow accumulation for the season today. We had 4-1/2″ suddenly added to our previous snow total of 1-1/2″. It’s still coming down, so we could have 5X by evening.

Bob, thanks for the postcard vacation to Clayton, Miami and Hopatcong all in a matter of seconds. Very nice on a snowy day.

Puxatawney Phil is an idiot. We here in the Pacific Northwest are basking in beautiful 65 degree sun. We’ve never had the boat in the water in February, but on Thursday we may play hooky and go anyways. Well keep ya posted….

From what I am hearing Boston has more accumulated snow than any of our ski areas in the Cascades!
It is forecast to be 60 here in the PNW.

Did anyone else notice that there are D17 Runabouts in all five postcards? Considering that these were the redheaded stepchild of Chris Craft’s line-up that are rarely seen in print, five out of five has to be a record. Kinda makes me feel less like Rodney Dangerfield.+
