Bobs perfect 1957 Chris Craft Custom Runabout ‘Relax” headed out to enjoy the colors of fall.

For many of us this past weekend was a wonderful brisk run in Mahogany on the blue waters mixed with the shades of fall.  For us here at Woody Boater we headed up to our annual Last fall gasp on Lake Hopatcong. Little rain has the lake very low so boating time may be coming to an end very soon. But fellow Woody Boaters Seth Katz and Bob “Have I Got A Calendar For You’ Kays took their boats out for us to enjoy the run. Share your colors today in the comment section.

Headed out to find Bob in Seths 1953 Rocket. That thing is AMAZING, it rides very smoothly and has plenty of power! This boat belonged to Seths Grandfather and is the most loved of his collection.

This is such a timeless photograph. This could have been shot 50 years ago and it would be exactly the same!

See here is the same exact shot, Shot in the 60’s.. No really.. It was about 60 out side!

Speaking of Lake Hopatcong, how about an update on the reconstruction at Katz Marina, or perhaps I missed an earlier one? thx.

OK so now I guess I have to hire a chase boat to follow us around and get AWESOME pictures like this.

All I get are pictures of all the beautiful colors because I am on the boat.

    Great Boat, Great Story!

The trees are still fairly green around St. Louis now. It’s nice to see the fall colors are already showing in NJ. And, of course, its great to see some Red, White & Blue on those Mahogany & Blonde Classic Chris-Crafts.

Thanks Woody, Seth & Bob. The photos went well with the morning java.

Why do I get the feeling there is something missing today? The KBL singing appears in the two shots and none of the others. All the other except for the 53 Rocket appear to be 1958, plus or minus a year, 17 foot CC runabout. Got an explanation?

Great photos Matt! What camera did you use?

Wilson, I am ready to start enjoying fall and winter seasons where the trees don’t turn colors, with short visits to the frozen north.
