Crazy Cavalier Is Just Crazy Cool Enough.

,

Coolness. 1963 style.

If you are into Cavaliers and into pushing the envelope on design. Today is your lucky day. We found this very cool 1963 Chris-Craft Cavalier Ski boat on ebay. No reserve and would be a very very VERY cool winter project.  Yup, this is when Chris Craft started going wackadoodle with design since it was the end of the wood boat universe and they were trying anything to gain excitement.

Oh hell ya

Side action

But for us in 2020, we know wackadoodle for sure. And somehow crazy design can be very fun at the boat shows that are not happening. Wait.. What? Damit. Never mind, don’t buy it. Wait, it’s a winter project, and maybe we will all get the Russian vaccine by then? Nyet?

Twirl

BOOM

Where was I? Oh ya. Crazy Cavalier on ebay. Are you still reading this train wreck of a story? Would you save it? Paint it that blue like factory of have fun with it. I personally would paint the sucker pink. YES PINK. and make it like a playmate of the year boat.

You could build an entire story around this to just push it over the wackadoodle top!

1971 Playmate of the year Sharon Clark’s Spectra 20 ski boat . So maybe you could tie it into that ?

Push it right off the edge of sanity and embrace it in all its glory!  CLICK HERE AND GO NUTS!!!!!!!!!

The 18′ model (65,66) came with bucket seats and a floor console and if it came with the 283 the manual gear shift came up through the floor console! Mine came with the 327F.

I love that bucket seat look although I do not remember seeing one, The one on Ebay is cool also, Ill bet the motor could be free after pouring a mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid into the spark plug holes and around the pushrod holes, after a week or so of soaking and live for another day. This system has been proven to work for myself and another friend, The hours are also low so that is in your favor.

That would be a great little boat for someone! Stop and pick up a new marine long block 350 from Michigan Motorz on your way home, and you could probably have her on the water with a weekend of work.

whats that vent thing on the port side of the fore deck?
it appears it has enough ventilation with the 4 smaller vents.

I once owned a ’63 CC Cavalier 16′ Ski boat identical to this one purchased from a storage facility near Lake Geneva, WI. What a fun FAST ski boat. If I was not 82 years old I’d out bid everyone on this classic!!! Good luck to the bidders. Some one is going to get a GREAT ski boat!!!
