Day 2 – Clayton Yields Vivid Visuals And Lots Of Waves

But as a passenger, its all smiles
A huge thanks to Steve Lapkin and Holly Weber for sharing some pics from Day 2 at Clayton, and the 2025 ACBS International. And of course I get to make up the comments from rain soaked HQ.

Now thats true happiness
Indeed, we must all be blessed!
Today’s schedule at the 2025 ACBS Annual Members’ Meeting and Boat Show included no less than 6 hours of on-the-water time for leisurely cruising the spectacular St. Lawrence Seaway and 1,000 Islands environs which stretch north into Canada. With no less than 50 vintage speedsters poised for the excision, Mother Nature offered up clear blue skies, temperatures in the low 70s(f) and these visuals which were culled from over 2,000 clicks.

This is called the “Ya Ya Wave”

FLAT TOP, and a much needed wave

Love the red siren
Lots of high-fives, smiles, chapeau’s, colorful garb were noticeable. Also visible was a very rare (white and blue fiberglass) Chris-Craft Corsair…trucked to Northern New York from California; The Museum’s Zipper; Another dashing Century “Sabre”; and the Boardman’s 21-foot Chris-Craft Holiday Gull Wing Hardtop to add to the mix.
The Good Lord willing, this same on-the-water scenario is offered to all tomorrow.

Hear that Good Lord!

That is cool.

A classic image

LOVE the new A50 burgee’s

WOW, I have a thing for these big time. And this one is very sweet

Chris and Julie enjoying it all.

I imagine navigating all the wakes is a full time job.

Greg, and a genuine wave

A genuine look of contentment

I wonder how many feet this is?

Gotta say, this says it all for me.

Dang! You go girl!

I hope they are not cheating on anyone. Although the viral aspect of a Coldplay moment could help the hobby.

Wow, having Steve and Holly around sure does capture some fantastic images of a great day on the water. Also, thanks to the ABM Captains on their lead ride boats for guiding us through those beautiful but shoal infested areas. The scenery is amazing.
Glad you like that Michigan gang red and white.
9:15 captains meeting and we do it again today!!!
Yahoo!!!
We made it back to Clayton after a very long day on the road and we will be on the water today.
Trouble could be brewing, Ron Stevenson from the Left Coast will be joining us on Melody. Ron and I together, what could go wrong?
Are you talking about your “Tollycraft”? LOL!
We who love The River never call it the seaway! It brought too many downsides.
So much to see and do! Thanks Holly & Steve for more to see! Did a boat tour to the Boldt Castle, the Captains cruised by us. Be there again today on Troy’s Tollycraft “Melody”! Oh, and here is one of my paltry 5 shots!
Ron – Glad you made it! Say “hi” to Troy for me, from one Tolly owner to another and talk him into coming West for either the Tolly or the Chris Craft renezvous one of these days! (That goes for Matt too!) The shots of that event are amazing and inspiring – I’ve got to start making the trips and going to these shows… 🙂
wish I was there! that is Going Boating! John in wet Va
