Dockorating. Is It A Thing?

Art
One of the reasons we love Sweet Pea, is that even sitting there, she is pure art. Art that literally can move you. After all a dock is merely a structure. Or if you open your mind, it can be a Gallery. Yes, an art gallery. Of course you need art, not some chemical mixture of plastic designed by a focus group.

Just Blah!

See! Better

Yes, plastic, but pure art.

Now of course, it’s that time of year that our “Art” is “Parked” in a safe place. But if you are lucky enough to have an all year boat, or weather that allows all year boating. Are you “dockorating” her? If so we would love to see some photos.

Art? Boat?
Let’s make Dockorating a new word invented here!
We just had our “Lighted Boat Parade” in Boothbay Harbor this past Saturday. I guess it is Dockerating without the dock?

It’s your canvas!
Dockerate it anyway you choose.

Sorry, I meant to attach a pic
Well I dunno about dockerating, but Portland has been decorating boats and having parades on the Willamette River that flows thru the center of the city, for over 65 years now….
Participated in a few of Chattanooga’s lighted Holiday boat parades, when we lived there. Our 21′ skiboat was always the smallest in the event. Up here in northern KY, our boats get tucked in for the winter in October.
Kelly, We have seen this at Lake Cumberland at one of the Marina’s called Christmas in July. All great fun
As someone who puts out and takes in a sessional dock every year. All docks are art. They look muck better with boats at them. If you still have one in decorate it.
Docks with pools in the lake, and boats in the alps are even better!
Big enough for everyone to celebrate!
Now you got me thinking. I found a picture of the Holiday Boat parade. It was fun to watch. It goes right by the Sea Breeze Bar and Restaurant.A great place to watch it from.

Matt, Sweet Pea is pure art. Thank you for sharing and inspiring others to thing about wood boats beyond 19-feet.
