Early Morning Runs!
RIDES! Okay, that headline may not have been the best choice of words! But if you are a true Woody Boater, you know the feeling of an early morning RIDE! A nice cup of coffee, or ride to your favorite breakfast spot slowly riding along enjoying the best part of a late summer day. This is the time of year around here in Virginia and all over where mornings can be the best boating. The sparkle of the sun as it rises and flat water.
AND YES! WE KNOW, THE DAM COMMENT SECTION PHOTO ISSUE. We are trying all sorts of crap. One solution involves a registration type deal. Which would be like a membership. FOR FREE, but we love keeping this open. We also opened up the spam filter to allow anyone in, and had 40 spam comments in one hour. Once again, we are trying.
Nice pics of the morning.
I am always baffled at how the people who build and maintain this internet stuff don’t seem to know how to fix it. If your car or boat mechanic worked the same way we would all fire them. (Well maybe some of us would.)
The pic issue is because of spam and the types of filters and other crap causing the issue. We could have people register and that would do it, but trying to keep it easy. Hell its even killing my pics as well. The person that helped build the site, the hosting co and software people all can’t seem to creat a resolution. But we will get it.
It must be so satisfying to fire up Wecatchem and head out over that beautiful flat water, just, with the morning runs 😬
Early morning and sunset cruises are the best, and coincidentally the best for taking photos. Photos that I can’t post! 🙂
Soon though, early morning will also be frost time. Ugh.
Love the early morning rides. Whether its to go fishing or an early destination, it can be beautiful on the flat calm before anyone else is out. You might need a sweatshirt or one of those fancy blankets, but it is so worth it!
Nothing quite like an early morning boat ride! The only thing as good is an evening boat ride. Just being out there enjoying the calm water, it is calming! Do all you can to get pics back in comments Matt. They are truly missed.
No early morning boat ride here in Port Ludlow, Wa, heavy fog. Fall is in the air here in the pacific nortwest.
The best early morning rides on flat water, are when hanging onto a handle at the end of an 8 section line 🙂
Amen, just got back in.d
Loved the early morning shots but thought there would be some final wrap up comments on the Reedville show…
This awakened some memories. In the late 1950s, I worked nights, getting off at 6AM, on the St. Clair River, at Harsens Island. I drove my 14′ CC Kit boat to work. The two weeks that a friend was on vacation, on my way home I’d stop by his house and we go water skiing behind his 22′ Sportsman.
The river was usually like glass, and sometimes it was foggy. It was a ball.
gotta laugh at the computer crap….now I can’t even get to the CCABC site to post my questionable advice!
up pops a couple of lines of alphabet soup…..
I am going Boating….
