Global HQ Get’s It’s Own Home Online. It’s Complicated.

Time warp? Its a website about how little things change? Ya, irony galore.

One of the good things about ice cold days is I am trapped inside and can focus on all the personal work that I ignore all year. Personal work as in marketing stuff for personal use. This past week, its been websites. 3 websites in one week. Yikes. Noting all that complex, but content curating, and so on. Today, I am focusing on the Railway’s site. It’s been needed since many here keep asking what am I doing with it. Hey, they still don’t understand even what Woody boater is. To be fare, neither do I. It’s all a work in progress.

Varnished Sunsets

When building a website, it does force you to gather focus and sort certain things out. And to be honest, the conclusion I came too is this. “I am on a journey that I don’t know where it ends up, and those are the best kind” And so, here it is, the website, and some focus and place to stop on all of our journeys to no where. I guess I now understand that bridge better.

Warm nights

WOW! you sure know how to do it I did not see any typos, the photos are outstanding, and the layout is perfect. Great job.

BUT, I got so tired just seeing what you have bit off that I’m going to take a nap. You have so much “stuff” that it makes my head ache. Keep up the good work.

Nice job Matt! Railway looks awesome! I love how you are saving the history of it. Can’t wait to see it in person some day.

Mom’s Mink is also looking forward to getting back into the warm waters of Florida again.
Jeff and Troy keep me posted on gatherings. We will be there the week before the show. We have a place rented on lake Dora walking distance to Mt Dora.

As the millennials say “I’m jelly” (jealous) and pissed off. Pissed off because I’m not sure if I’ll ever get my own shop in order. It use to be my basement but its full of parts and canoes, couple of boats and I don’t like working in a cave. So its my south facing 2 car garage that’s now full – my ’56 Buick wagon project blocked in by subcontracting tools for any job I may have plus portable table and chop saws; and cabinets I need to sell and a motorcycle I need to sell. Crap – a 40 x 80 might do and maybe I’d have enough room.

and to see yours in such great order, ugh. And you’ve now done a great web site on top of that. Awesome – I’ll get over it after a few beers with friends at the local brewery.

Very nice job Matt. So many lovely evocative images.
Tell me, how many times would you go to work by boat? I see the shot of Wecatchem moored at the HQ with the office behind. I remember you mentioning that you were boating to work in the summer. Did it become a regular thing?
