You’ll Never Guess What We’re Gonna Talk About Today?

Lenzip aluminum zipper

Made of Aluminum. A work of art

Well, it appears that we are having a week of small details that all add up to authenticity and just stuff feeling right. Some of you may wonder what all the zipper jokes are about. So I thought we could revisit the topic. A couple years ago, I was driven to find out the original manufacturer of a zipper on the cover boot. These are very hard to find since many tops alone are gone, the covers are really gone. But thanks to Bill Macs perfect original Sportsman we were able to find LENZIP Zippers.

And we called them and ordered enough zipper for the boot cover. What no one knew was that I jumped the gun and my top sat on top of the windshield and never had a cover.  Well, we do now. WECATHEM’s factory cover defiantly needed a cover. Since in the wind in front of the windshield it would catch the wind and blow open.

Ready for spring!

You might wonder why in the heck we are being so obsessive about a boat that wont win any show. Remember we are keeping it in prerestoric condition. Well, its about harmony and aligning the stars. If you have to get a zipper, why not the original one? Need a tool set? Why not an original one? 1/4 inch is still a 1/4 inch? A horn is a horn?  When you are out on your woody boat, its great to hear the right sound, and feel the same feel that time can only improve! Tomorrow. Fuel Sticks!

    Love those Zippers!

I am actually looking forward to a fuel stick story since I need to make one for AB. The one I am using is too big and barley fits in the filler neck.

Well not more I can say about zippers that wasn’t said back then but now I’m curious whether I need to change the dowel diameter of my fuel stick for authenticity.

Without the time stamps on our posts anymore there’s no way to tell what time Troy sets his alarm to often get that first post of the day in.LOL

Rick being so far east the sun comes up early, even this time of year when the days are so short.

Some days I actually have to wait for Matt and Texx to put up the new story. On those days I get to catch up on the late night comments from the day before.

Just got back from lunch. It was 12 degrees out, so the zipper on my Polar Vortex Down Parka is still my favorite zipper of the day.
