Happy Birthday America!

Poster Concept For Classic boaters

If you are reading this, shame on you.. There is water out there to be used up.. Bilges to oil up, and bungs to pop. Just no fireworks in the hatch please.. Above is a fun idea we came up with here at Woody Boater when we saw the different colored U22’s.. Red White and U22? I am up for a cool photo shoot in a couple weeks on our way up to Greenwood Lake show in mid July.. Have a Happy 4th

Cheers Matt. Happy 4th everyone. If fireworks are coming out of the hatch that 5 gal. bucket can also bring water into the boat.

No woody boating for me this 4th of July. In what has turned into an annual tradition on July 3rd, the impeller blades on my water pump gave out. Usually I have a spare set, but this year the spare set has been on back order. The blades in the Chris Craft were brand new so I did not expect that to be a problem, and I left my spare geared pump at home. As Homer would say, DOH!

On the plus side we have a nice plastic and glass Penn Yan. She is a 1976, bicentennial boat my father special ordered in red and white with a blue interior. A perfect boat for July 4th boating!

Anyway, let this be a lesson to all of you, ALWAYS HAVE SPARE BOATS! Tell your wives I said so!

I absolutly live that comment, at least 2 boats and a glass boat for towing, raising from the bottom of the lake etc. and not a word from the wife.

I had to (b)log in. No shame in that. A day without my WB fix is like a day without beer. It’s just not acceptable.

Tonight, the front deck of our Marion E will be laden with kids watching fireworks on the water. A wonderful tradition in our family.

Happy and safe-boating Independence Day to all Woody Boaters!

In Prince Edward Island this week. Doesnt everyone in the US celebrate Canada day with the Duke and Dutchess? Invited them for a BBQ at our house in Murray Harbour but they blew us off. Went to a car show and a guy had a 1939 cris craft he built from scratch, no plans, just a picture, marined a buick motor himself for it, really cool. Have a nice 4th!
