Holy Crap, A Real Cobra On ebay for $4,250
Dang, you can sit and drool over your cobra now in your living room. Now every part of your house can smell like varnish!
I saw this listing on ebay the other day and did not believe my eyes. Chris Craft Cobra Model, Real V-8 Power! This cobra is INSANE. It has a real working V8 in it and runs well. I have to say, I am not that big into the model thing, but this specific Cobra is amazing and for what was put into it. Well worth the money. If you have that sort of money. Dang!
A real V8! Thats right, no DD batteries or small mtor, this sucker is packing the real deal! Now your living room can smell like gas ! oh ya! Thats the life!
I do note the “Wife” sitting there. mmmmmm OK now this all makes sense now. You can feel her leg twitching.. GET THAT DUMB THING OUTA HERE! What do we need a cobra in the living room for anyway? it smells like gas and varnish!, which explains the glass case. Would be fantastic in a showroom though. I can see the ad now. And this clearly is not a living room but rather the dude’s office – with that carpet, and those chairs and the fox-hunt wallpaper and the reams of bound ‘Boating’ magazines on the shelf on the right…..
I would also bet that the dude is retired given the Haband comfort loafers on his tan feet and in a home clearly in the midwest or east – somewhere where there is snow on the ground given the diffused lighting in the rooms where the photos were taken.
Those exhaust headers are quite impressive though. Wonder how fast the thing is on the water.
I’m not sure what excites me more the blue blouse or the Cobra.
My guess is this is located in Kentucky. Clue number one is she is barefoot, and clue two is the Thourobred wallpaper!
On ebay, it says the location is in Minn.

Thanks Matt, I’ll send some amazing pics of the 1/4 scale motor assembly if you would like to post. I have people all over the country who apparently new the builder and say he was a unique individual. ( imagine the focus!)
I think it’s a great price since I paid more for this boat 20 years ago than the current bids! I hope it goes to a good, appreciative home. Love your website, the industry really needed something like this. Keep up the great work!

Yes it happened last night. We reached out to the seller to ask what happened. The seller did comment above. A fellow woody boater was one of the big bidders and did not buy it so we are all a bit confused? It’s the right of any seller on eBay to cancel a sale so it could be anything.
