How About Another Sausage Sunday? Ya, Too Bad, You’re Getting One Anyway!

Ya, what every dad dreams of for a gift. Now actually it is true, but part of the fun is picking it out.
It’s Sunday, and I like Sausage on the weekends. The lips and snouts from stalking ebay and the web. We did find a very cool tid bit for this week from this. Like a good Bratwurst. Its so much more than sausage.. So sit back, and enjoy a fun day of a whole lotta nuth’n that somehow smashed together makes a yummy read.

How about a Mai West Mercury?

Oh Sears. I now this is a dumb simple boat. But its so simple in Avacado Green its kinda cool.. And does bring back memories. Boring memories, but never the less Memories

Same Simple boating.

More Sears stuff. The Duchess and Marquese. Dang, how royal for a little boat

Boat Show TIme at the Johnson Dealer.

Best use of two colors. This is an extremely well done two tone job.

Love this perfect little post card world

AHHHHHHHHHHH!

FANTASTIC SIDE GRAPHICS

Really? Arizona? That looks like the worst boating ever.

Now, in my world, this would NEVER happen.

Just when you think fancy Oyster Cans would be fun to collect, this shows up.

Okay, this on the surface appears to be a normal Post Card…. from. Indiana? Yup. Thats the ebay seller claim. But what about the NY hull number and hills?

Looks like fun!

Slide Show Dude and his outboard and plaid bathing suite

I love the graphics and design of Century stuff. Way our designed others. BUT, Babes sold boats.

Miss Pepsi Drinks Texaco!

The Russians are at it again. Wakepording?

1953. I am confused, weren’t they gonna all bomb us? We all hid unter tables while Boris and Natasha went boating?

See! Even doing books on the topic.

More Slide Show fun

I see I am not the only one that climbs out on the bow to get photos!

Okay, this looks like it was fun as hell, and should be done again.

Okay, this looks boring. Edna is a ticking time bomb cause her husband, Al is out gambling while she is stuck with her mother in law, who is never happy and scared of the sun. Hey, just say’n.
Well there ya have it. just like Sausage, it was fun going down, but alot of nuthin but calories and fat . Stay tuned for more this week.
That a lot of sausage for one morning. We expecting company?
The white “Lucky Star” boat looks like an Indian Lakes or later Dart triple that was produced in Ohio.
For those of you who would like to learn more about the Miss Catalina Boats, Woody Boater published a story on them in 2011. Here’s the link.
Ok, so the Oyster can is from BUTYLO VA…..have not been there in years…but within the last couple of decades that was a place that time totally forgot…really amazing cool remnants of the Chesapeake lifestyle. I am going to Go Boating and visit the place again….without sausage…
John in Va
and before Troy points it out….on the Sociables Pepsi ad….where IS that guys hand?
John in Va.
Miss Catalinas are probably my all time favorites. Yes I’m sure that was very fun hauling a__ around the island and greeting the steamships as they came in. I agree it should be done again with vintage boats. Except only 2 of the six remain and one of them has been changed. I have a gorgeous print of some art work of these two framed and matted hanging above my fire place.
I recently read somewhere that they are doing something similar with a huge yellow 25 passenger boat. Giving ” thrill rides” around the island.
60 years ago when I was 13 I took that boat trip up the Rouge River. It was an unforgettable adventure. Thanks for the memory blast!
Outboards and sausage. Perfect.
I have 1 of those I would turn loose of BILL
OH Memories!
Growing up we had three of the 12′ Gamefisher’s on Cobbossee. Two with 5hp Johnson’s and one with a 9.8 Merc. Spent endless hours out on the lake cruising the islands and girls in those boats. The first time Sandi and I met, at age 9 years old, I was in one. In my teens I squired a 1953 25hp Johnson. My parents let me put it on one of the Gamefisher’s and run around the lake, I don’t know what they were thinking.
Reeeeeel tasty today Cap. That’s quite the Water Craft Edna has there. What is that?
Its 11:30 on Sunday nite. I just got time to read WB. What great pictures! They brought back a lot of memories.
