I Did A Little Engine Work This Weekend!
Pre War K, wait , Not a “K”, its a “k”
With all the tide crap, high winds, I never really got a chance to get out there and do a gasp of sorts. Even though the temp was around 75 degrees it is feeling like the end is near. So I got into the barn and built me a couple engines. K’s actually.

These little gas suckers were surprisingly easy to build. The little head gaskets were a bitch and half. But I got it done.

Pre War, Post War, I suppose we could make a Grey one for during the war? Mmmmm that makes me wonder? What color were the engines during the war? And if Blue, when did it change colors and why? So many questions, so much time. Ugh.

No decals I did them with paint. The engine numbers are Plop plop, splat

It’s always the THIRD WEEKEND IN MARCH. Looking out my window now onto glass-like Lake Dora, to the east a couple blocks from Wooten Park.
Speaking of the Mt DORA show, I already got all the reservations made for 10 days. Going to see the Vintage race boats the weekend before our annual classic boat show. See you’ all in March.

Yes damn cool. But the cylinder heads are prone to melting real quick. Key chains or a mini engine stand would be really neat.
They would make a great set of earrings to go with a nice post war blue dress. (Or is it a gold dress… lets not go there)

When you put it together did you check the rods and bearings — don’t want something like this happening.

I’m with Keith above there…What scale, where did they come from and can we mortals buy them easily? I had enough trouble getting bigger model engines in 1 24th scale for classic speedboat models.
