Throw that bad boy!
I am out in the barn trying to get ready for Lake Dora. I swear the date creeps up on you. In two weeks I am outta here. In reality that’s just one weekend. This one to make sure Stinky is up to date. Mmmmmm, we may have to goto the goto boat. But, want to try and bring something new and different. Thats part of the fun. So today, you can enjoy the lips and snouts of incomplete stories. Have fun!
I see these boats and think, WHAT THE HELL, you sweat like a pig , go nowhere, and they eventually sit in your yard and just gather mold! The models don’t even look happy!
This guy is a DOUCHE!
NOPE! Still not cool…welll, maybe.. NO,, stop looking at these. NO..
Fake Ads, no way in hell.
Nice hat – Now smells like an ash tray.
LOVE this, want one of those flags.
Chrysler Marsh Screw Amphibian – This is misery on all sorts of levels. Pontoon, Mud, Life Jackets because its a corporate photo. Tell me, what kinda help would a life jacket do in this case.
Is this a vintage post card of the entry to Lake Eustis?
This was, may still be on ebay. Would it be fun to create a clear sticker so you could paint your filter and make it look NOS
Miss Catalina 1 and 2. Not seen these before. Maybe I have, its all kinda a blur now, with over several terabytes of images on Woodyboater.
This is without a doubt the saddest babe photo. Put your hands up Betty! Dam it Betty, look like you are happy. Darla, look in the camera, Jesus, Doris, can you move your hips out. Betty, watch the life ring, Dois, over here Doris, Dala… Wake up Darla.
Romance is timeless
Love this photo.
Admit it, we have all done this at some point in our lives. Like TODAY!
Robert Redfold was a boater?
Woody Wood Pecker Pillow Case!
If you don’t think there are not artists like this anymore. You need to know Darrell Bush our WoodyBoater artist. He is and does what this art form is. Magazine covers, sporting illustration and yes, our boats. You can visit his website here. Great artist and great guy.
Wonderful art by Darrel Bush
i LOVE looking at old cigarette and liquor ads! In todays “snowflake” super PC days it only takes oner “twit” on Twitter to derail an advertising campaign!.. And in some commercials its hard to figure out what they are selling…Gone are the days of trying to find the subliminal images in the ice cubes of the liquor ads! now its about checking off all the diversity and inclusion boxes first.. ..not that theres anything wrong with that.. 🙂
You’ve outdone yourself with the mud screw pontoon non-boat. Life vests indeed.
And Redford is a downhill racer, not a boater
Finally, the big yacht ensign on a tall bow pole! Wow
Robert Redford is a boater we built him a custom mahogany inboard in the early eighties
Steve Hilpisch made some clear stickers for the later model CC oil filters, so I’m sure with a few good photos and some measurements, it could be done for these filters as well.
She’s ready to tow, maybe behind that peddle boat….
Love that canoue, thats gold, and a joy to use. Those plastic heart attacks just make me shake my head.
love the march screw thing….wonder how you steer it? has a steering wheel but would seem more likely to switch screws with a hand lever for each like a bulldozer???

I always enjoy sausage day! The canoe is really nice. It reminds me of another wooden boat site I like to visit. The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association.
Mr Robert Redford also had a nice Century Resorter back in the day.
I don’t want to be a killjoy, but I can tell you all from experience that there is no way in Hades Hell that one would be able to tow a canoe at full plane throttle. Each summer we tow kayaks and you must be mindful of not just speed, but where the waves and wakes end up at various speeds versus the length of your rope etc. More than one we have struggled to empty a swamped kayak….even after going the slug speeds. Makes for a fun painting though !
How the heck is the tow rope attached to the canoe?
