I came across your website while searching for information on my boat that I just acquired. I was told this boat, which is a 19ft cuddy cabin, was originally from a kit that was purchased/made around 1958. I am starting to restore it now and I am hoping to track down the original plans but so far I’ve been unsuccessful in finding anything remotely close. I have seen a Higgins boat that looked similar, but I’ve run into a dead end. Can you help me identify what I have here?

So? Know handmade boats from plans? Evan is trying to be respectful of her past, the cool thing though is that he can interpret history here and have some fun her. Get a very cool vintage steering wheel, have fun with color and interior materials. Unless you ruin it with some sort of plans and photos? Popular mechanics? Other companies?

Hey Troy at least you didn’t say the same thing in The Brass Bell article. Really expected you to be surrounded by bikini models in those pics. Who staged them, all I saw was you and boats. Nice article.

The whole Bikini Model thing is just my imaginary alter ego.
I have enough crap on my plate, looks crude, makes my sears kit boat look like a real boat.

isn’t a state. Canada? Anyone able to blow up the reg sticker better? Where did you find the boat? Does the seller have the registration card? Should only be 8 years old.

Probably a one-off kit boat of some sort with lots of customization. Check out the paddle wheel bicycle contraption next to the boat. The guy was definitely reading Popular Mechanics. Is there a hovercraft in the garage?
Luger Boats from Minneapolis was another company that supplied kit boats. They may have plans also.

Glen L Sea Knight or Modified Geronimo perhaps? They both use the same hull design and it looks very similar to this hull

This is a really strange outboard configuration what with it being so far from the transom and having the largest fixed trim tabs ever. I think it is a type of semi hydrofoil designed to get the hull out of the water and onto steps of some kind. It has to have a powerful motor so that it can lower down as the hull rises. Definitely a popular mechanics pipe dream.
