Kid Rock. A Woody Boater?
Here ya go, T and A and a Woody Boat…I think all is well in the world now!….. according to the boat buzz crowd, it’s a Grand Craft. Funny thing about such a video! I would have not in a million years have ever expected to put Kid Rock and a Woody Boat in the same story, let alone ever do a story on Kid Rock. But here it is…enjoy!
Michigan has a history of many “garage band” or “dirt bag” rockers: Nugent, Seger, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Kid Rock, etc. All of which seem to have deep roots with Michigan’s industrial history. Most still have property in Michigan, muscle car collections and a bond to all things classic and cool. Nothing says “class” like a hot rod woody. Ask any Michigander, including myself… “would you rather drive a Ferrari or a ’59 Cadillac?”
I want both, But I would trust the caddy more. I myself drive a 1975 olds Cutlles. I love it, Drive it everyday to work. Swivel seats and a 350 4 barrel. 27,000 orig miles. My commute is 1 mile. That is a Lansing car, not Detroit. But it has Michigan written all over it.
“Dirt Bag” Jessie James and his lovely wife Sandra Bullock have a woody boat on Lake Tahoe.
Maybe I should withdraw the “dirt bag” reference… Jesse James is bigger than I am. And Nugent… I won’t go there cuz he’s within flamin’ arrow shot of my boat.
I guess the point I was trying to make is that we shouldn’t be surprised that rockers and celebs are into wooden boats.
Hot chicks and wood are a recipe for “cool”.
Ha, I actually have a pal that works with Jesse James. I can arrange a smack down.. Actually that one makes sense. It was just the bling factor of Kid Rock that threw me. He had Pam Anderson to play with. Why a play with a woody…. Punch line goes here____________.
