Lights, Camera, And Jimmy!

The vintage Greenie Benjaman Industrial Lights are up and running that glorious juice through them to activate some cool Edison LED lights. WOW, it’s starting to come alive and feel like a dream work space for the new Woody Boater Global HQ.

Texture, light, and dust. PERFECT

Jimmy and I worked through the week between Zoom calls and life in general and got most of the ceiling in, and up, and down and up, then did some electrical work. What could possibly go wrong?

Once again, I take pictures of Jimmy doing all the work. It stays warm now, just with the space heater!

We decided to do all the electrical in Conduit on the outside. One it looks real cool and the other is it’s inspectable this way. All new wiring, and we are going to be… Wait, a electrician will be installing a new circuit panel. All will be put over a wall of old cut pine panels we are making today in the railway on the old tools. YUP, I am going deep into the Zen of it all. This space is where time stands still and the best time has to give us is curated to calm the speed of crap outside, where sometimes change is just for change sake, not for the better. WOW, that got rather deep for this early. Sorry.

Warm light Bulb, 100 W

Daylight Light, 100W?

A HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to Dale at Old Industrial Lighting for some amazing rebuilt lights, and a surprise inside, these very very cool attachments to the box on the ceiling. WOW, these saved a ton of time and hell. Such is the gift of quality that you pay for over the nickle you save and spend all day making up for it. DANG!

The lights light up the room even when off!

Today, walls, and wall insulation!

Looks like an awesome space Matt! Congratulations! A lot of work though.
I hope you guys can slow down sometime soon to sit back and enjoy it?
Hope to see it some day!
Since we missed Dora this year. I was thinking about coming out to the Lake Hopatcong show.
    If they have it?
I will be looking for that!

Once I am vaccinated, I might fly down uninvited for some oysters and a test of the new office. Will you be renting out desk space like a vintage WeWork? With so many of us now working remote, you could pack the place full of WoodyBoaters on Zoom calls.

Truly an inspiring space, and the size of this project has certainly distracted you from buying any more boat projects.

I’m beginning to see the sense in all of this!

Really like the look of exposed conduit run electrical wire. Its much better looking than random exposed wire obviously plus easier to run at this point rather than trying to fish it behind panels.

While the “daylight” LED’s shed much more light, the “warm” LED’s look much more period with the correct illumination.
Guess the answer would be, how bad are my eyes and how much do I need to find anyway?
If you’re going for that “warm” look in the evening after a long day, then two to three fingers of good Kentucky bourbon need to be added, along with a comfortable old leather chair and ottoman, plus a good, well read, woody book of some kind.
And in the winter, a wood burning, pot bellied stove over in the corner.
    Just sayin’………..
